I am assuming the hold back is for tax reasons, all wins in Australia are tax free. Would some one please explain what this is about. Yes Stig l did like your report, thank you for the read.

When i hit my hand pay at the MGM i was given every cent I just handed my passport over & they did some paperwork gave me few things to sign & that was that I have heard of other brits having some withheld that they then have to claim back Maybe it depends on the property and whether the people involved can be bothered to do the paperwork

I am also confused about the tax thing. As a Canadian I get dinged for the 30 per cent...but I thought it was different for you guys.

    You sure walk a lot.
I am afraid to ask...but WTH is a "perv"???

In the context it has been used it means along the line of "look at the attractive women....".

Thanks everyone for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the report. Apparently it depends on the casino regarding the 30%. Also it's only on $1200 or more winnings. I do like to walk a lot in Vegas although this time I probably didn't walk as much because of the heat on this visit.
Looking forward to Atlantic City in Oct and something a little different, going with a mate who has also been to Vegas several times. We are going to see what it's all about.

I think he means looking at the eye candy that is always hanging inside the Cromwell. I would assume that is what " perv" is.:hmmm:

Great report as usual Stig!! You always do lots of walking in Vegas. I was at the Jay Leno show as well on July 7th. I sat in row 4 on the left side of the stage. Leno is very funny, but I must admit that I saw him last year in Mirage as well, and some of his jokes were exactly the same. But still a very funny show!! And as far as Atlantic City goes, I hope you like it, but being a New Yorker, and only a 2 hour drive from AC, trust me when I tell you, that the place is a dump!!! Not many hotels left there at all, many closed down.

Yean we are doing something different this year for the Oct trip. My mate is sorting it out and he tells me we are staying at the Showboat. It's somewhere we have wanted to see so if it's not for either of us then I will be back in Vegas next year.

Showboat is a hotel only. Not sure if you're aware of that fact. I understand your mate is handling the details but thought I'd point that out. Cheers.

Yeah aware that it is hotel only, I'm not too bothered about it, we will keep an eye on hotel prices and maybe change if we get a better deal somewhere else.

Nice report! And royal! Hope getting that 30% back isn't too hard if you go for it.

Surely, someone? The keyboard doesn't require that much energy.
