It says u can get up to $500 in free play rebate ($50 increments) for 24 hr machine losses. Says will be emailed to u within 2 weeks.
    Anyone know more?
    1--Do VP machines count?
2--How long is the free play good for?
    Thx!

I just participated in this on Friday. If I get an email from M Resort in the next two weeks, I will try to remember to follow up on this thread. Here's the pamphlet available at the M Resort players club:

But seriously . . . even if it WERE your favorite machine. Would you play to lose $500 in it??

Cannot see all the terms but if it were me doing this offer I would load up do big spins on a high variance slot if you hit something tasty all is good.

If lose then just grind out lowest stakes possible to smooth as much variance out as you can out and try get decent chunk of the $500 back.

Not sure if you could swap machines from the original slot until the refund 2 weeks later.

Rules out the overseas tourists though  but looks a great offer unless there are some hidden terms.

Yeah, but the problem is that you get the rebate in Free Play. If I dropped $500 would I really want to go back for more "punishment"? I agree it's better than nothing, but "not much" better. and . . . you have to go back TWO times to collect the total rebate.

Guess better than the usual $10 sign up bonuses though?

I would hit that if I was local. Obviously cutting the tourists out who hit and run and you cannot really blame them for it but for people who drive and can get there sooner it is a decent offer.

Uh, the term "Reimbursement Offer" sounds hinky to me!

I got the email from M Resort today. $500 free play will be added to my account in two increments of $250 each.

    $250 valid 7/29 to 8/29
    $250 valid 8/30 to 9/29

Part of my losses occurred on VP.

    I hope that helps.

Here is the million dollar question that might be pertinent to out of towners: Do you have to go to the players club to have the free play activated, or if someone you trusted was going to be there on those dates could you give them your card to play it for you.

    The email says:
"Free play will be loaded onto Marquee Rewards Card on valid dates above."

The Argosy in Kansas City (also Marquee) is doing this for anyone who has not been to a Kansas City area Marquee rewards network casino in the last 365 days.

Other casinos have done this and it never works out for us.
Usually the dates to redeem the Free Play are 2 weeks later and we get to Vegas only twice a year.
Impossible for us to go frequently enough to actually fulfill the offer.
I think these deals work best for locals.

The Riviera use to do this and didn't even cap it. You got it the next day. I miss that place.

Tropicana did this before they were part of Marquee rewards but the terms were better; you got $250 right away then the other $250 was 3 months later if I recall correctly.

Like @kevin853 said, swing for the fences on a slot. If you win, you win big and to hell with the rebate. Almost no risk with the rebate to play above your normal comfort zone, provided you can get back to claim the money.

If you lose, looks like the 2 increments are on back to back days @jimboguy said he was:

    $250 valid 7/29 to 8/29
    $250 valid 8/30 to 9/29

So plan on being there the 29th. Take your $250 then, and the next $250 12 hours later (usually what it is) and grind that through the best returning video poker game you can find.

When the Riv did this, every Pro VP player in town ran over there. Within 2 weeks they changed the rules to NOT allow you to convert your FP on any VP machine. So if the M will, its golden. I did this at the Trop years ago, and @breanna61 is correct, it was $250 now and $250 like a month or so later. I only lost $100 so I took the $50 that day and forfeited the rest.

I was playing there anyway, so it wasn't like I was trying to lose to get the free play.

Great promotion. Risk free shot at a big win, for those that can return in the periods for the free play. The M Resort is a locals casino, so that's why the return for the freeplay is spaced this way.

A few years ago, in conjunction with the LVA, Terribles had a promotion like this, that gave the freeplay the next day in one increment. For one of our accounts, we hit a royal flush during the qualifying play, so there was no way we could lose to take them up on the offer. I guess it was a good "problem" to have.

The problem with the promotion are the time windows you get the rebate.

Loss rebates can give hit and run players a one time expected edge (just set a reasonable win goal on the initial play). But that only works if you can easily collect the free play without going out of your way. As is, this is more a deal for locals and frequent visitors.

I recall Tropicana was limited to a total of $200 reimbursement. $100 right away and $100 three months later. But my wife had to appear in person at the booth to get the free play added.

Earlier in this thread I posted that I received the email from M Resort stating I'll get $250 reimbursement in free play through 8/29, and $250 reimbursement in free play 8/30-9/29.

Well, I also got Marquee Rewards offers today that include:
    2 free nights
    $50 dining credit
    $200 free play

I just booked a round trip flight: arriving 8/29 and departing 9/30. Flight cost me $102 round trip. I figured the flight investment is worth a shot to see what I can grind out of $700 free play. M Resort even has a free airport shuttle that'll align nicely with my arrival and departure times. I'll be calling later today to book the comp room.

Hi Jimbo, thanks a lot for the infomation! I was wondering if you could please confirm that for us after your visit at 8/29. Your help will be greatly appreciated! Flying in does not make a lot of sense for us. Was considering mailing our cards to a friend who lives in vegas.
