Hi all...we're heading back in late July staying at Paris (forum handle should be a dead giveaway).
Wife wants to do a cabana day at Bally's. Does anyone know if wifi is available at the pool for non-hotel guests?

    Thanks.

We had it because we had signed in for the "guest" wifi while in the casino....When we went to the pool it automatically came up.

All I know is it barely works in the rooms there, can't imagine the pool being any better

I hate discouraging people on here however the Ballys "cabanas" are piss poor at best. Paid a descent amnt last summer for one and although its spacious and its somewhere to have peace and quiet, everything from the chairs to the table to the fridge to the TV was super archaic. I laughed at the fact that the remote was a big ole fat bulky one. Everything was showing their years. Just an FYI not to have high expectations. I didnt but was still pretty blahhh about it.

I can't speak for Bally's pool, but if you stayed at the Paris pool, I've gotten wifi there. Also if you want to look for a hidden gem, the Paris Pool Villas are a good value. You get AC and can actually close the doors for privacy.

Thanks all...we're now looking at a cabana at Paris. We'll have hotel wifi there, and they seem a little 'fresher'.

What do you need WiFi at the pool for? Enjoy some sun and water! :)

If you are paying (not comped) there are great cabana deals on groupon for Paris and ballys. Did this last year at Paris and was great at an awesome price!

    Hmmm - not so fast.
I made the request Monday as per Groupon instructions. Crickets back. Tried calling the pool multiple times today, Finally got a person who "has to check with a manager".
I'm getting a bad feeling about this 'great deal'.

That is not good, I had no issues at all last year. I will be back July 30-Aug 7 and am planning on using one so let me know what you find out. When I checked in last year it was easy as well they gave me 4 tickets to give to the waitress for the drinks.

Spent several hours today trying to sort it out. Got onto Groupon and finally got the reservation form from Paris. Followed the intructions to the letter - and got charged another $179.
Back to Groupon who couldn't sort it out and then refunded my original purchase. I can't get in touch with anyone at Paris to refund the $179. I've written them an email and will give them 24 hours to respond. I'll then initiate a dispute with Visa.
It appears to be a classic bait-and-switch.
Never again for me - but YMMV. Good luck.

Back to Bally's - and I suddenly don't give a sweet fuck about the Wifi :D

Weird, I have never had an issue with groupon and there are tons of positive reviews on groupon forthis deal at Paris. I have used it twice they have offered it for several years. I would be irate if I spent all that time, I would probably freak out on someone :). Sounds like Paris has staffing issues at the pool!

It was literally one call to the pool I need a cabana on this day and want to use a Groupon, and they just took my name. I don't believe they even took a credit card until the day of to pay the service fee. In fact I waited until I had the reservation to buy the Groupon to make sure I could get it.

Wonder if you would have the same issue at ballys?

Actually, I'm seriously contemplating cancelling my stay at Paris over this. I thought of contacting my new host - but he's a useless tit who doesn't return calls or emails.
I don't know if anyone from CET reads these boards, but if they do here's a message: You've got a serious customer service problem and you're about to lose a loyal guest.
MGM has been courting us for the past couple of years. Might finally be time to go over.

i would be very upset as well!

I wasted a full day of my last trip dealing with the 20 hour power outage at Paris in October and haven't been back since. Didn't feel like that was handled the best either.

Starting to take more non Vegas vacations!

Have you noticed a deterioration in service at Paris? We've stayed there at least 15 times over the past 8 years. It's been nothing but great - until now. New management, perhaps?

Quick update. I'm writing this from the cabana at Bally's where there is wifi :headbang:. Went to Paris pool this morning looking to get a cabana there - utterly clueless. If you want a cabana and great service, Bally's is the place. Ask for #10 - it has access to the restroom behind the tennis pro shop.

We booked noon - 4pm for $93 all in. Comes with water bottles (8) and a fruit plate. You won't find that online - just show up and ask. Drinks are a bit pricey, but well worth the cost. The young woman in charge - Bre - runs a tight ship.
    Loving the service here.
