    My Trip Report

The wife and I are heading out tomorrow. Staying a couple of days at Encore followed by a couple of days at Bellagio thanks to some nice marketing offers. We've stayed at Bellagio before and love it. This will be our first time at Encore (never stayed at Wynn either). Looking forward to it.

I'll be attending a conference - but there will be plenty of time for fun too.

I've got a reservation at Exotics Racing for Tuesday morning. Should be fun.

Other important to dos for this trip:
    - Poker
    - BlackJack
    - Craps
    - Spa (wife)
    - Good meals at our favorite Vegas spots

I hope to post some updates as the trip progresses... More tomorrow.

Went and ate at the Wynn Buffet for dinner. It was great. Forgot to take pics until desert. Cinnamon Apple Crepe. It was gooood.

To keep the Chris Farley thing going...from Tommy Boy: "I think I can hear myself getting fatter."

After dinner - went to play a bit of BlackJack. That did not go well. Down $1k. Sigh. I hate starting a trip off down.

Went out to chill by the lake for a bit. Had a Mohito - wife had some wine. It was nice.

    Up at 4AM. #EastCoastProblems

    Gambling before breakfast:
    - Down $300 at double zero Roulette.
    - Down $200 Slots.
    - Up $200 Blackjack at Wynn.

Breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi - very solid as always. Ham, Egg, Cheese crepe.

Went up to Aria to get the shuttle for Exotics Racing.

Played a bit of BlackJack at Aria. Up $300. Thanks Aria. Now off to the racetrack.

Went and drove fast cars at Exotics Racing. Really fun.

Came back to Aria and had lunch at Five 50 Pizza. It was great.

Decided to head downtown for the first time in about 15 years. The vibe is still very much the same as it was ~15 years ago as I remember.

Played some 10x odds craps at Golden Gate. I ended up down $100. Wife ended up down $200. Sigh. Rough gambling in general this trip.

Back in the room to chill for a bit. Not sure what's next.

I'm guessing he might eat snickers the same way.

    Good start so far!

I think I ate some of my 550 pizza with a fork and knife too. I typically don't eat pizza that way, but it was pretty hot at first, iirc.

    Ok - I'm a bit behind. Sorry y'all.

Yesterday afternoon the wife hung out in the room for a few hours. I went down and played BlackJack. At one point I was up but I ended down. Need to get better at walking away for a bit when I'm up.

We went over to Yard Bird at VP for dinner. For those of you who are interested - I ate my brisket biscuits with a fork. They are piled high. No idea how you could do it without tools :)

In all seriousness - it was great.

We headed back to Encore and decided to chill in the room and watch the last bit of the sunset. Encore Windows are amazing.

We turned in early (still stuck on east coast time I guess). We are pretty much the early to bed / early to rise types anyway.

I woke up this morning ate breakfast at the little cafe over at the Wynn and then I went to my convention and my wife went to the pool. My wife enjoyed the pool overall. By the end of her pool time she did know the names of all three kids in a nearby family...apparently the mom was constantly yelling at them. However, she had a good spot in the shade so she just rolled with it.

We really enjoyed our first stay at Encore. One odd thing...our room did not ever get cleaned - not yesterday or today. Yesterday we did not press the service button before leaving. So we thought that was it. Today we did. It was on for ~4 hours while I was gone and the wife was at the pool. We did not really care - so we did not even bother to call and ask about it...but we were surprised. Meh - no biggie.

Once I was finished with that we packed up at Encore and took a cab to Bellagio. We are checked in at Bellagio now. Watched our first fountain show from the room. Really cool. Never gets old for me.

We love Bellagio. The room is not as fancy as the room at Encore - but by our standards it is still fantastic. Easily the nicest room we have ever stayed in excluding Encore.

Next - dinner then who knows. More later. Thanks for following along!

    Nice stuff there, CarolinaGambler.
I'd eat the brisket biscuits with a fork too.:feedme: Was just giving you a hard time and joking about the pizza...mostly.

Great TR Gambler! Keep the food porn coming. Always wanted to stay at Wynn/Encore but to cheap mainly because I'm rarely in the room while in Vegas.
I've eaten pizza with a fork and knife so no worries there and I also eat my $2 Totinos with ketchup. Obviously I'm not a pizza snob.

Thanks! I feel the same. I'd never pay to stay there if not for the marketing offer. My guess is my level of play is not even sufficient for any more marketing offers from them. I guess time will tell.

We had dinner last night at Noodles at Bellagio. Very good.

I had the beef pad Thai.

    My wife had Vermicelli

After that I played BlackJack at Bellagio. More losing. My suggestion - do not gamble. It's an awful activity. Don't do it :). I've seriously had one winning session this entire trip. I'm playing perfect basic strategy - I literally take a basic strategy card to the table with me. I'm playing decent rule 2/3 tables. I'm buying in with 40 units. Those odds you hear about are totally correct for huge sample sizes - but in the short run they sure can seem meaningless.

Headed over to Mon Ami Gabi for dinner tonight. We love that place. Looking forward to it.
