We are staying at Bally's in a few weeks. Both my husband and I got comp'd rooms for 4 days, and had to pay for one, and of course the resort fees. We are both companions of a Seven Star, and I know we get a lot of the same perks as them, but didn't know about the resort fees. They remove them from Diamond right? We are both thisclose to Diamond on our own, so if we happened to hit it during our trip, would they then remove them for our remaining nights? We have 2 rooms,
Since our kids (20 & 15) are going this trip.
    TIA

Pretty sure resort fees are based on your status at the time you check into the hotel. That being said, if you earn Diamond while there, you might be able to sweet talk a host into taking it off your bill. Worth a try at least.

As JR stated, you usually have to be Diamond already for them to waive resort fees. But I've heard people getting lucky and have resort fees waived, especially since your 7* companions, I'd say you have a decent chance. If you're diamonds yourselves, your play depending how it is should warrant back-ends comps and/or having resort fees waived at the end anyways. Good luck!!

The first year I hit Diamond I was Platinum when I booked the trip but hit it during my stay and the waived the resort fees at Planet Hollywood. I didn't expect it but asked and they said no problem.

If I'm not mistaken the resort fees not waived for diamond or higher, you're just not forced to pay for it. Back when platinum status got the resort fee waived that's what I was told.

No resort fees for diamond in any form whatsoever.

Last year CET changed their policy for 7* and Diamond members to just give them free wifi, gym & office access. Prior to last year you were allowed to "opt" out of the resort fees if you didnt want to use those services.

So should we show our companion card when we check in? I guess it doesn't matter since it's all under the same number.

I dont think it will help but hate to say this but you might get stuck w/ the resort fees even w/ the companion card.

That means nothing, you're not 7 star so they won't care.
