Long time lurker, first time poster. My GF and I are heading to Fremont next week, staying at The D for 5 nights (Mon thru Sat).

Are there any bars/clubs on/near Fremont with live music on weeknights?? We like all kinds: blues, jazz, 70's rock covers 80's covers…..pretty much any kind of live music.

    So….any recommendations?
    TIA,
    FJ

Does it have to be a bar/club? All the Fremont Street stages will have bands each night you're down there.

In general, Fremont Country Club is good for this, but regrettably they have no shows during the time frame you mentioned. Sorry to have to report that...just thought you might want to know about that venue for future trips.

The Fremont stages obviously, including the one in front of the GG. Sometimes Gold Diggers at the GN.

The largest venue downtown the DLVEC which is behind the D casino, run by the D. Special events, not a nightly thing.

Fremont East is your best bet. By the Slotzilla, There used to be the LV Country Saloon (formally the Brass) had live music - might be something there now. Hennessy's Tavern is next door always has some music playing at the bar.

Continuing onward, Beauty Bar has an inside venue for smaller acts and behind it a larger stage for rock shows.
Commonwealth Bar frequently has live music.
Across from the El Cortez is the Backstage Bar and Lounge which has daily rock shows and dj events. Next to it is its sister venue the Fremont Country club which is a large music venue for special events.
Far down Fremont is the Bunkhouse Saloon.

There's a place called Don't Tell Mama which probably fits the bill. I haven't been myself so but I've been looking for something similar and it seems to pop up fairly often. Have a quick google and see what you think.

the free stages (outdoor) on Fremont street are great. Spandex Nation is the best.

Yes, SPANdex NAtion is great! :)

Beauty Bar has had decent bands in the past but I have not been there recently. Very earthy in ambiance. They seem to be off/on with having a cover, or at least used to.

Last week on the center Fremont stage there was a band called Alter Ego. Hadn't seen them before. They were one of the best I've heard downtown. Not just another 80s "big hair" cover band. They did a lot of 90s stuff like Green Day and Blink 182 too. Great singer and very talented musicians. Drew a good crowd.

don't tell mommas is on freemont between 5th and 6th. Spent three hours there last tuesday. An awesome place ( if you are into piano bars). Lot's of recent music plus stuff from 60s on. It is a new add to my "must do" list in Vegas.

I remember back during my very first LV trip (1970s) there was a "No Dancing" sign in the Omaha lounge! :)
