Hey guys, we have booked a trip for this October 5th - October 8th for the Rise Festival in Mojave, CA.
We are going with 4 people total, 2 guys 2 girls. We are looking for the best 2 bedroom suites on the strip for the money. Not looking to spend an absurd amount of money.. Hoping to find a decent place on the strip with 2 bedrooms and a casino for under $1,000 all inclusive. I know I'm asking for a lot but thought I'd pick your brains you Vegas pros you!

I know AirBNB and VRBO is a very good option to save money, but I don't mind splurging to stay on the strip for the pure convenience of there being a casino down stairs.. If I can't sleep just get up and head down stairs.

Our preferred properties include but not limited to : Planet Hollywood, Mirage, Vdara ( i know no casino but close enough to walk ), Aria, Cosmopolitan, MGM Skylofts, Venetian Palazzo, Wynn Encore.

Not to fond of Jockey Club and those time share places.

I guess 2 conjoining rooms are okay too. Thanks in advance guys and gals.

I saw one on the Mandalay Bay website thought it was a reasonable price but don't recall the price

Sorry, just to clarify-- which days are you in Mojave and which days are you in Vegas? Or are you trying to stay in Vegas and drive to the festival (bit crazy if you ask me)?

Hi Laostuh. Are those days for CA or for Vegas? It's a bit confusing as it says those dates are for the festival. If so, what are your exact days for Vegas? As if it was weekend or weekdays, it would make a big difference. There's a few conventions going on in October during the first 2 weeks and last week of October. Also, if you provide more clarification like needs, wants, dislikes, etc, it'd be more helpful to help better gauge your options.

Of all the preferred properties you listed, you're not going to get a true 2 bedroom suite, not on the strip at least with the properties listed. With a $1k budget that's tough. Might be more along the lines of $1500-$2k min. I just did a quick check for MLIFE, without logging in, and saw that the cheapest 2 bedroom suite (without MLIFE tier discount) is the Excalibur 2 bdrm Luxury Suite at $925 and next cheapest was the Delano 2 bedroom Suite at $1260. For a $1k budget, you should be be able to get 2 regular rooms at most of the strip properties even at the higher end and nicer ones.

We were able to book a Hospitality Suite at the Mirage for 298 a night in August Sunday thru Thursday. Might be worth a look.

I stayed at Vdara at the end of June. I could make it from the elevator at Vdara to a seat at a blackjack table at Aria in less than 4 minutes. The hotel is nice, quiet, and 100% smoke free.

The Vdara 2 bedroom penthouse is nice but the price is almost $800/night for your dates. Delano 2 bedroom is an option, too.

We are only in Mojave for a day (Friday). I might be a little crazy but last time I checked the sight for the festival was about 45 miles to the strip? Maybe I'm wrong. But whatever I don't mind. My first time ever booking a Vegas trip myself about 6 or 7 years ago.. I booked at Whiskey Petes at Stateline LOL I had no idea what I was doing though.

We are planning to leave Thursday early afternoon or maybe early morning. We will checking in in Vegas and planning to drive to the festival the day of which is Friday. We will leave Vegas Sunday afternoon. Exact days are 10/05/2017 - 10/08/2017. Needs 2 bedrooms(connecting rooms are fine). Strip View or Balcony Preferred. Fountain View a plus. Strip property preferred. Thanks.

Yeah I am starting to realize that, so might just get an AirBNB instead.

Thank you, I will check it out.

Another vote for the Mirage. It's been a while but last I looked since it's no longer a premier Vegas property, some of the suites were insanely reasonable. They have some that have their own private (albeit small) pool area. Back in the early days when it was a new Wynn property, some of those places were going for $2500 and up/night.

Of course if you want to splurge, the Wynn 2 BR is the place to be. Mike E (where in the hell has he been anyway??) did a nice YouTube video of it and just about every Wynn and Encore room.

You can get a Wynn 2bdrm Salon Suite (not tower suites) for 1100 depending on your exact dates.

I checked out the Mirage hospitality suite and it came to about 1200 total which isnt bad considering 2 bedroom, but I just checked for the Cosmopolitan Wrap Aroun Suite and it came to about $1500... I mean it's not a 2 bedroom but if im not mistaken it does have 1 bedroom seperated from the living area which would work too and I've always wanted to stay in the wrap around suite. I might just suck it up and go with that but still keeping my options open.. Do you happen to have the contact info for Kevin, I believe hes a host or something at Cosmo? I've heard people have got some really good Welcome Back offers.

I will need to check this out. This is with the WynnInsider discount I assume?

I chimed in earlier about Vdara but now have time for a more detailed answer.

FIrst, a couple of questions: will two King beds work? Are pools important to you? It appears you want to stay at a higher quality property, are willing to spend some money but not break the bank.

Forget AirBNB or VRBO. Just no. You are visiting Vegas for a great weekend - I recommend that get rooms at one of the major Strip resorts and enjoy your weekend. I'm not convinced it will save you any money over Strip hotels anyway.

Adjoining rooms will (almost) always be cheaper than a full 2BR suite. The only terrace options will be at Cosmo (although I believe MGM Skylofts have them??). Pool options will be good at all of the properties you listed, except for PHo.

I just checked Vegas.com for your dates (October 5-8). Room prices seem a bit high for that weekend but not bad.
Mandalay Bay $165/nt (+$80 resort credit)
    Mirage $186/nt (+$50 resort credit)
    Delano $194/nt (+$80 resort credit)
    Aria $211/nt (+$120 resort credit)
    Venetian/Palazzo $242/nt (+$150 resort credit)
    Wynn/Encore $279/nt (+$25 resort credit per day)
Cosmo = various, showing wrap-around Terrace Suite for $597/nt, maybe get an adjoining Terrace Studio for $347/nt?
    PHo ???

Directly from the Vdara website, you can get 2BRs at the following rates w/ some minor resort credits:
    2BR Penthouse $777/nt
    2BR Hospitality $870/nt
    2BR Loft $916/nt

    Via the Delano website:
    2BR Suite $420/nt
Penthouse superior Suite $630/nt, not sure what the adjoining second BR will run, maybe $275 at most? Probably less.

Some friends have stayed at 2BR and 3BR suites at Elara with good results.
If you can get the rates Packer quoted you for the 2BR Salon Suite that could probably be the highest quality 2BR suite on the strip. Not clear if any Aria 2BR suites are available on your dates.

My advice, given my very quick price checks above and my own personal biases...
If budget is important, book 2 rooms at Mandalay Bay or Aria ($211/nt is a great rate in comparison to all others above)
If you *MUST* have a 2BR suite, then go Delano (budget) or Vdara (a bit more)
If you want to splurge and want the best and the terraces, book a wraparound + adjoining at Cosmo (I would spend the extra money for 2 rooms at Cosmo over the 2BR options at Vdara)
Book directly with the hotels and not a 3rd party retailer. Call them as you may get a better rate than the websites since you are booking more than one room.

In short, I would book 2 rooms at Aria or splurge at Cosmo if you want to class it up and enjoy the terraces.

    Have fun!

Are you sure you are pulling up the right dates? I can't see the Mirage hospitality suite for those nights so assuming it is sold out and I get much higher at Cosmo once you factor in resort fees and taxes. Also that Wynn rate looks like a rate/night, not for 3 nights.

That Delano one looks like your best deal. If you sign in with an Mlife account it should be a litlle lower than what spicole posted. It shows at $346/night with my Mlife Gold tier discount.

I may be still confused. I thought you wanted 3 nights Oct 5-8 for about $1000 for the 3 night including all taxes and fees.

Wow thank you for doing some research I appreciate it :D . . . I've found some bargains on AirBNB and we used it last time for a big group and saved quiet a bit of money. But as I mentioned I like the convenience of having a casino down stairs.. I like to splurge when I'm in Vegas... My girl on the other hand... She rather put that money to something else lol.

Yeah that Wynn Rate was per night lol. I wonder if I book 2 rooms online will they be conjoining?

Check Signature. Stayed there in a 2 bdrm once, was very nice and affordable.

No sweat! I hope it helps. I completely understand on the budget aspect - it is important.

I will say this, though: if I was traveling with a group to Las Vegas, and my buddy who was in charge of arranging rooms did not book at a major hotel & casino on the Strip or maybe downtown... I would cut off his nuts with a bread knife.

If you don't need 2 bedrooms take another look at Vdara. The sofa in the living room converts to a queen bed. There's a one bedroom penthouse on VRBO for $400/night (about $1500 total with fees and taxes). Full kitchen too. Even the basic suites have the pull out bed if privacy isn't any issue.
