Lucky 13 Semi-live July 8 - 21, MGM Grand, Cosmo, PH, Palazzo

Heading back, 13 nights instead of the usual 14 due to a scheduling commitment. This could come back to bite me in the ass as I usually need that 14th night to be 100% ready to fly home. We'll see. On the other hand, it means I won't be going to bed at 8:00pm on a Friday night in Vegas which is always weird.

Very little scheduled this trip, which could lead to some questionable decision-making. Usually I meet a few members of a regular rotating cast of characters during the middle portion of my stay, but that ain't happening this time, I'm a total free agent the whole way, just have to remain lucid for the group slot pull on the 17th.

Hotels:
MGM Grand - 3 nights Tower King
$125 FP / $100 RC

Cosmo - 4 nights Terrace Suite
$200 FP / $100 RC

PHo - 6 nights Resort Room
$100 FP / $50 RC

Palazzo - 1 night - Palazzo gave me a comp room on the night of the slot pull based on old history and a pledge to do a full night's coin in, so I'll be sleeping there that night. I'm planning on getting some hard data on slot payback %s there.

This is probably my swan song with MGM properties for at least a while, I see the PGP stuff starting to add up. That could make for a slow start to this TR, because my only real mission at MGM Grand is to get ~2,000 TCs to reach Pearl tier and keep the 12 months expiration period on my ~$400 in Express Comps. We'll see. A few pops while waiting for the bell to bring my bags up could change the whole trajectory and have me playing Davinci or Cleo II at $20/spin.

Planned excursion:
Going up to V/P and TI on the first Sunday or Monday. V/P to scope out the venues for the slot pull festivities and make some arrangements. TI to seed for some teaser offers. I'm expecting that either Palazzo or TI will replace MGM in my rotation, depends on what their computers spit out for offers and whether Palazzo's slot payback %s are horrendous.

Possibles:
B52's are playing at House of Blues Saturday and Sunday night. I may use my resort credit at L'Atelier du Joel Robuchon while I'm at MGM Grand if I can get a seat. And there are a number of people floating around town the first week if I can manage to find them.

Semi-live means I pretty much just post a few times a day. I have a smart phone that I only use for work while traveling and it only uses wifi, no data plan. But I'm trying to get the hang of tapatalk, so there might be more frequent posts than my prior trip reports, and probably more pics. And hopefully some videos of some bonus rounds.

Just checked in and got A-25 and A-27 boarding positions, which is pretty typical of what I get with EB on Southwest.

@Chuck2009x I never done a solo trip before... lol I had many opportunities but just never pulled the trigger. Just being married for god knows how long I forgot how to act as single man lol. Damn what the hell do you do for 13 nights as solo trip? Lots gambling?

 

13 nights solo? I'd be in big trouble by day six or seven.

I've only done one solo trip out of maybe 15 and I barely knew what to do with myself. Everything I like to do in Las Vegas, other than poker, is a social activity and I really didn't enjoy the experience very much by myself. I'll be interested to hear what I was doing wrong.

We wanted to attend some type of concerts & b52s would have been awesome but just saw the house of blue gonna have The Dan Band, looked them up in YouTube and they are awesome!!! We gonna definitely check them out on 17th!!!
