Congrats. Hell I've been living here for 3 years, and visiting since '01 and I have yet to hit a royal. Not even on a penny machine.

Well done on your hit Though i am surprised to hear that they withheld the 30% When i hit my jackpot handpay i got given every penny due to being from UK They just took players card passport went did some paperwork and came back with couple forms to sign and that was that

That was idea of playing with yours and my card last year when we did that high limit slot pull Not that we needed our cards though :)

Yeah I was surprised at the 30% hold too :nono:
They should have done some paperwork for you that would lead to you getting your Itin no. that as a UK resident your excempt from tax witholdings. Strange they didnt notice that when you presented your ID  or they were just lazy, hope you didnt tip them :evillaugh:

Oh yeah, glad ur well enough to get your travel on again

I spoke to the casino manager and he clarified that they don't pay full amount if you don't have a tin number. He said some casinos will pay out regardless but they don't.

I've heard they have cracked down on casinos doing the itin paperwork recently. Not sure why.

I wouldn't of minded filling the paper work in and sorting it out. But clearly that wasn't an option. A mate if mine is in Vegas now and he asked at the Cortez about it and said it was right if you win $1200 or more.

Yes, sounds like a crackdown of some sort. My friend's win was mid June if I remember correctly.

I think a Brit took the hit on a high limit slot pull earlier this year. Maybe they can chime in with what happened for them.

I was saying to my mate that in all the times I have been in Vegas and I finally get a hand pay and I don't get it all lol. I know I do still get it back so it's not as though they have took it from me. But it's just the pain of claiming it. I will be applying for a number so in future I get paid it all.

Yeah if no picture it didnt happen :evillaugh:

I got my first HP at Aria a couple of years ago and they did all the paperwork for me at the machine and a couple of months later i got my Itin number through the post at home.
The guy that paid me said if i got another HP at Aria or another casino i should just produce the paperwork he provided and ishould have no issues.
Unfortunatley i didnt get another one on that trip :bang:

It will be on my trip report.
I went to watch Jay Leno tonight and he was very funny, I really enjoyed his show.

    From the show.

A liar, a cheat and a murderer walk into a bar.
    The barman says

"Oh it's the New England Patriots."

I told that joke at a show in Boston. How brave was that.

Glad you liked Jay. I saw him 25+ years ago and had front row seat. He asked me what I did for a living and I told him I managed a warehouse for a fast food company. He replied "Oh, so that's where they keep the 6-8 weeks of hamburgers".
