Harrahs Reno

I am flying to reno with a total rewards junket this Friday. I chose Reno instead of Tahoe because the plan is to visit some friends who live in Reno.

After looking at tripadvisor im a little concerned about the harrahs reno... Seems like most of the rooms are outdated/dirty/horrible.

Does anyone have any tips as to what kind of room or tower etc?

Im already looking at other hotels as a backup plan, but I'd rather not have to pay for another room when one is already coming free.

I don't know whose publishing those reviews. I have stayed there several times and the rooms are old(er), but clean and operable. The furnishings may not be to you're liking, but you're only visiting, right?

Stay in the East tower.

We stayed there in April for a night after spending a few days in a suite at the M in Vegas.

It's no M......but it was OK. Clean, but dated.

Really friendly staff, tried the $20 trick, all we scored for that was this groovy lamp and a higher floor ......we called it the "back hair lamp".

 

Just returned from Reno and Tahoe. Staff at Harrah's Reno was fine but rooms badly in need of an overhaul. Casino small and pales in comparison to Silver Legacy and Eldorado down the street.
