I am making my first trip back to vegas since 2013 and am usually prefer a table min of $25 a hand during the day and $50 at night. My local casinos (Pinnacle Ent.) partner with MLife, so have 3 free nights at Monte Carlo/NY NY/Luxor plus some free play and dining credit, so looking for what the best option will be for a couple weeks from now.

I don't swim at the pools and usually stick to carryout, casual dining - so just looking for the place that you think would offer the best blend of a decent room (can always try the $20 trick), good BJ rules (especially DD), and convenient food.

Edit: Flying in late on a Thursday and out Sunday morning, so this is a quick hit weekend.

    Thanks!

I would say Monte Carlo. None of the three have good BJ rules at that level (especially double deck). The rooms are pretty comparable. I would say Luxor is the worst of those three rooms and NYNY is the best, but they are all in the same range. MC gets my vote because it has the best convenient food options (food court, 800 Pizza, Dragon Noodle, Yusho, and Diablos (if it is still open)). Plus, MC is the closest of the three resorts to aria. And Aria has additional convenient food (550, the newish burger place beside the poker room, Javiers) and you might luck into a $50 table with much better rules than you will get at those other casinos

Definitely MC... Actually attached to the Aria and good food options in all directions. Casino is pretty low key as well.

I second this opinion. Pool at MC is pretty poor but not a priority of yours.

The pool deck is being redone as part of the overall rehab and rebranding of Monte Carlo into Park MGM. You can see the old pool area from the Aria tram deck. Its just a construction site now

If you haven't booked your P.E.T. trip yet, do it now. When I went to use mine they claimed one of my nights was no longer available for the offer. They had rooms, but only for casino rate + taxes and resort fees. The other two nights were not a problem. I surmised they have a pool of rooms available for offers like this and once they are filled you get stuck with paying a little. I didn't like it, but payed the $108 (all in).

Thanks DDB, I will call today and see if it is still available. Not a huge deal if it's not. I have a free room available at the Rio and $20/night rooms at Harrahs/Bally's and Flamingo if absolutely necessary.

NYNY has two tables near the centre bar which offer 3:2 double deck and minimum bet is $25. One of the tables goes to $50 on a busy weekend night.

Those tables are H17 which doesn't exactly qualify as the good rules the OP is looking for. Still, its pretty much the best rules you can find at NYNY

Called the Monte Carlo this morning and was able to book the room for the 3 nights I needed without issue. That said, of course do have to pay the resort fee daily of $35+tax (ouch)...

Guess I will see if I can find anything decent there, and if not hit up Pho as they always have some good games.

So after seeing a bunch of comments in other threads about how horrible the Monte Carlo construction is, should I try to move this reservation to NY NY?

Agreed, probably best option of if the OP wants to play double deck.

Yeah, there are no S17 tables at NYNY, even in the high limit. I would still walk over to Aria and hope the tables on the main floor with the good rules have low enough minimums for him

Just to add a wrinkle here - got an email today offering 3 nights and dining credit at the Tropicana as well. Would it be better to switch from MC to Tropicana?
