I heard a rumor that there is no poker at Binions

can anyone confirm?
Read last fall it was moved to casino floor except for big ones.

Haven't seen poker played at Binions in quite some time, maybe three years for cash games

 

Saw both cash games and tournament games at Binions nearly every day a couple weeks ago.

 

Wow I was there in Feb/May/June and didn't see any action...this is good news

 

They've had a 1/2 game and tournaments running both times I've been to Fremont in the past 2 weeks.

 

Where were the games being played? I haven't seen poker play in the big area that is facing the Cal so they are probably just playing it in the area near the Keno pit. I think the problem is that people don't know where the current poker room is located so they figure that poker isn't being played anymore. Maybe if someone could describe where the current poker room is then they would understand why they don't see the games anymore.

Yes, after Binions lost the WSOP a few years ago I haven't seen poker play in that big back room area that's facing the Cal.

 

Yeah, they only use the big room for big tournaments now -- I did see a big tournament a couple weeks ago in that room.

On a day-to-day basis, the poker games are behind where the Blackjack tables are, if you keep going deeper into the casino after the blackjack tables, well, there they are!

 

Binions hasn't had regular poker games for years now. If you see games going it's only because it's WSOP season.

The only poker room downtown is at the Golden Nugget (busy room too).
