We enjoy Friday night buffet at Orleans. I get my money's worth in oysters and oyster Rockefellers alone. Heard they were remodeling and wondered if it was done and back in the usual buffet spot. I can't imagine selection would be as big if moved to temporary spot and maybe even less seating so wait would be longer.

Thanks for the update if you have one

According to their website, the buffet is still only serving breakfast and lunch; so I wouldn't think they are done yet. I am going in September and hope the remodel will be complete by then.

It would be good if they will be ready to serve Thanksgiving dinner.

As of June 16 they were still closed. The temporary spot is next to Bailiwicks. Stayed a week there and never went to buffet.

what exactly are they doing? if they are only redecorating, that money would be better spent on improving the quality of the offerings. the buffet there is ok, but pretty bland. (I cant speak for seafood night)

Uh, not to be a Debbie Downer here, but you might wanna be prepared for a re-theming of the buffet and an increase in prices. I've seen this more often than not when buffets are remodeled.

and that would fit right in. they have remodeled and / or renamed several eateries at the Orleans and GC.
all of them have been more "upscale" and pricey.
if the food is going to be better at the Orleans buffet I'd be willing to give it a try.

They did that with Sams Town. Ripped out Billy Bob's and put in Angry Butcher.

The thing is, Billy Bob's always seemed to have a good flow of customers. Angry Butcher was pretty much empty the time we tried it.

If it will be handled like the Copper Whisk, it will have inflated prices and ghastly service. Fingers crossed that we're wrong.
