I can't find anything about this in the MGM Resorts parking FAQ-- I'm a Pearl MLife member, and get free parking with them. I don't get free parking with TR, but I'm staying at a TR property for a few days. Anything preventing me from using the parking and walking over to my hotel? Will the lack of MLife activity (I expect little to none) throw up any red flags?

Edit: Thanks for moving this, mods. My mistake. And thanks to those who chimed in-- 5 bucks for the monorail is cheaper than 3 days of CET parking!

Other than a long walk with luggage, nope.

Just get a TR visa card and get free parking at TR hotels.
I have a MLife credit card for the free parking too.

I would worry if this would affect future offers. But I haven't read anything definitive on whether the parking garage triggers a day or not.

That would be a concern - one that nobody has been able to answer.

As to the original question - how would anyone know if you spent three days walking around MGM property or not? Answer - they don't.

Walking back and forth might get old. Then again, we do not use a car in Vegas and walk ALOT - LOL!

With all due respect, there are a lot of factors that (should) go into choosing whether to get another credit card and which one to get. Free parking shouldn't be one of the factors. I realize there are some other perks but most cards have perks of one kind or another. IMHO

I would agree. The only reason I get a new credit card, is to get 25-50,000 miles in the first few months as a signup bonus. And, between us, we do a half dozen a year.

I respect your due respect. Just having fun.:poke:

I see nothing wrong with getting a no - annual fee card.
They gave me some free play, Pearl status and free parking.
My credit score(810) has not been hurt by having numerous credit cards. Even canceling SW credit card after receiving the 50,000 air miles hasn't hurt.
    Maybe I'm lucky?

Unless there is an annual fee, we usually do not cancel them. After recently paying off some of those transfer balances, my score is back at 791 with 20-30 credit card accounts still open. My advantage score is over 800. Since the credit card is free and offers credit when you might have a problem getting it in the future, there is no reason to cancel it. Is there?

Agree. If there is no annual fee you do not need to cancel. I cancel my Southwest cards after I get the 50,000 because of the annual fee.
For cards with no annual fee. I sometimes cancel those. Only because I don't want cyber crime on cards I haven't used for a long time. In the past I have had my old, unused cards used by cyber criminals. One time they rang up $10,000 in Sweden. Obviously it cost me nothing. Another time the idiot used my card to buy merchandise and he sent the stuff to my home. LOL.
