Just my quick thoughts while planting my derriere on the beach, here in front of Caesars in Atlantic City. Considering it's only June 25th, it appears that the beach is bustling and the boardwalk is full.
Hope this is an indication of things to come for the city that I've come to love over the last 25 years.

The Caesars beach is one of my favorite beaches on the Jersey Shore. Have a fun visit! :)

Nice! Florida could have beach casinos too if our gaming interests weren't controlled by the Seminole Tribe and always opposed by Orlando (read Disney stoolies) legislators...

Looks like a great time, Happygirl21!

I would love to plant my rear in the sand and sip on a few cold ones  right now,
but my neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate seeing me in their kids' sandbox... :D

Looks like I missed you by a day. I did a day trip on Saturday with my daughter, not enough gambling to make a real TR, but I did manage to take a few photos. It was a spectacular day, unlimited visibility but a little too windy on the beach; there were a couple flying umbrellas.

First stop was to get a half sub at White House, then off to a beach about two blocks north of Ventnor. Around 5 pm we went to my happy place, Bally's Beachbar and had a few beers. I had $5 free play at Caesars and turned it into $14 on video poker. The sun was setting and we decided to hit the Vue rooftop bar at the Claridge and took a couple of photos.

The boardwalk was packed and there were good crowds in Bally's and Caesars. They still have one $5 craps table at Wild Wild West plus a couple $5 BJ Tables. There is even a bubble craps machine at WWW.

Not my intention to threadjack, I'm a big fan of the Shore and wanted to share a couple photos with those who may have read about Atlantic City but haven't visited in the summer or been down in awhile. Log into your TR account, even if you're a low roller, you might get a mid week comp. Come on down, the water's fine!

I've been to the Jersey shore many times but never once to A.C. I hope to see it soon. Enjoy the rest of your time there!

Just a few more pictures from what became an epically large losing trip, unfortunately.

Seriously, this was the largest Horseshoe crab I've ever seen. ( Size 9 foot for comparison).

    Have a great day!

I was there Saturday night and it was as packed as I have ever seen AC. Pretty much all blackjack tables around town were at $25 and that was if you could even find a spot. I think that the market has determined the ideal amount of casinos. 3 in the Marina area and 3-4 on the boardwalk. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Hard Rock (Taj Mahal) and Ten (Revel) reopen.

Thanks for the pictures and good things to say about the AC beaches. We will be there in one month - just love the beaches there!

Although I'm in AC almost every week (50 min from my home), I don't hit the beach until September when the water's warm. I love jumping the waves and 'riding' them into the shore. If you go, the beach in front of Bally's also has a bath house with public restrooms and outdoor showers. Makes clean-up at the end of the day easy.
