My wife and I will be in Vegas for the first time ever next month. I want to maximize my playing time, as we'll be there Wednesday morning through early Sunday morning. One thing I really want to do is at least see each of the major casinos on the strip (my estimate is like 25 of them). Is this going to be reasonable for our time there? I figure the more we walk around, the mess money I'll lose too lol. I figure some casinos we'll do the normal "lap" to check it out and potentially move on. Is this going to be do-able? What's going to be the easiest to accomplish this? We also want to at least see Fremont street as well which I'm thinking an uber?

Sounds more like work than a vacation that's a ton of walking in 115 heat. Just go with the flow when you get there. Plan a few things of course but then just go with it

like the poster said above...plan a couple places and then wing it.

    mid strip one day
south strip another, north strip another,
downtown another with maybe stops at palms,gc,rio

    just my two zlotys

Is it possible? Would it be fun, No. Everything seems closer in your side view mirrors on your car, and hotels in Vegas

Honestly, a lot of casinos are pretty much the same. It's not something that would occur to me to do on a first trip unless I knew I'd never be there again.

    Where are you staying?

The easiest way to see all the strip casinos is going to be just walk one side up of the strip and then down the other. You can do half in one day and half the next. then do Fremont, then decide which places you want to hit again, or just chill at your home base.

We're staying at treasure Island. Is the monorail worth the cost?

I'll say this as a person who really enjoys the Mandalay Bay complex: skip it, Tropicana and Luxor. Also skip Orleans, Rio (unless you're a big poker buff and want to see the WSOP setup), Palms, and Gold Coast. Spend time one day seeing Excalibur/NYNY/MGM/Aria/Bellagio/PH/Paris, spend the other day seeing the rest of the strip hotels central to north. Spend the third day with a few hours downtown. That's the most efficient way I would take a Vegas virgin if it were me playing tour guide.

Any reason you say skip Mandalay bay, Tropicana and luxor?

Luxor is only interesting from the outside and Mandalay Bay is a bit of a hike. Waiting for the tram from Excaibur to Mandalay Bay is more time consuming than people realize but if you really want to see MB then take the tram and see Luxor from the outside on your way by. Luxor is completely de-themed inside. I guess seeing the slanted pyramid room doors from the inside might be interesting for a split second.

Maybe you could take the tram outside of Excalibur to MB and skip the inside of Excalibur for a bit and then walk from MB through the shoppes to Luxor and walk through Luxor to Excalibur.

I'd skip MB and Luxor completely on a virgin tour but it's up to you and your levels of regrets. Tropicana isn't worth the hassle at all.

I'll be doing this "tour" in a bit under two weeks with my wife's brother and his girlfriend.

Hi Colec....going to every casino would be very ambitious. The must do's for a first time visitor imo are: Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn/Encore, Caesars/Forum Shops, Mirage/Volcano/Secret Garden, Cromwell, Paris, Bellagio/Conservatory/Fountain Show, Cosmopolitan, NYNY, perhaps a walk through the grounds at Flamingo (the casino itself is run down. For an evening drink and fabulous strip views, head to Ghostbar at Palms or VooDoo at Rio.

We have a concert at Planet Hollywood Friday night.. After the concert are we best off to just work our way back to treasure island or take the monorail and get closer back to the hotel for the rest of the evening?

Walking the strip at night is the most interesting time to walk it. It will also be a bit cooler. I would avoid walking the strip daytimes as possible. Or, you could take that opportunity to be your downtown night: uber it to DT from PH.

    It's not expensive, but I wouldn't bother.

If you really wanna do every casino on the strip, just work your way down the TI side one day until you get to Mandalay Bay, then cab or Uber back to TI.

Next day, start at Wynn/Encore and do the same thing on that side of the street. On that side, there's a pretty big gap with no casinos between Planet Hollywood and MGM Grand.

Depends on how you handle the heat, but except for the stretch between PH and MGM Grand, it's really only ten minutes max you'll be outside in between casinos.

I will disagree with most of those above. I have done 18 different casinos in one 12 hour night with the help of three cab rides.

Do it. And have fun. But pace yourself. Use Uber or Lyft to start and end each day. And I am assuming you are reasonable fit in walking.

Ignoring sunday, you have 4 days.

In one day it would be pretty easy to do everything from Casino Royale down to Paris. 30 minutes at each place plus travel time between should take about 5 hours

Day two start at MGM, then do the Tropicana, cross over and go down to Mandalay Bay. Then work your way up back up to the Bellagio. 30 minutes in each place plus travel time might take 6 or 7 hours. This is the hardest day.

Day three start at Caesars and go up to Mirage and TI. Cross over to Venetian and work your way up to the Wynn. Again probably 6 hours.

Day 4 head over to Palms, Rio and Gold Coast. Then Uber it over to Circus Circus, SLS and the Stratosphere . The last three is a iittle bit of a non productive work. This is another 6 hour day.

As for downtown, hit Freemont Street one night and give yourself about 4 hours to stop in every place

This plan is doable provided that is all you want to do during the course of a day. Play the slots or a table game for a few minutes in each one. Assuming you start at 9 am and take an hour break for lunch, you should complete each day by 5 pm. Go back and take a nap and have a good dinner and a relaxing night.

You are staying at TI so the monorail is less than useless. I agree with those that say to write off the south end. Nothing there that is worth the hassle. Otherwise break it into sections:

    Wednesday: TI, Mirage, Wynncore, V/P
    Thursday: Caesars, Harrahs, Linq, Flamingo
Friday: Bellagio, Cosmo, Aria, Paris, PH
    Saturday: Downtown

I used the Las Vegas monorail for the first time this spring and I liked it. It is a hike to and from the monorail station from each casino so I wouldnt use it for casino hopping - but it works to get from end to end.

Also, when I was there the tram between Excal, Luxor and MB didnt have a long wait. It was there every 5 mins or so.

    DO IT. DO IT.

Really, we walk most of the strip most trips. With the heat, it is a bit harder, but still can be done.

From TI - short rail over to Mirage. Out the other side then through the Caesars shops, then Caesars. Outside a bit over to Bellagio and all the way through. Out back of Caesars to Vdara/Aria. Then into Monte Carlo, outside to NYNY.. then Excal, Luxor and Mbay. Skip the monorail down there. The walk is more fun and the same time.

    Take a cab/uber back.

You can do the opposite side the next day. You can uber down to MGM and then walk back instead if you want.

Makes for a great day. Break it up with snacks, drinks maybe a meal.

It's possible to do. The way to accomplish it is to break things into zones. However its not necessary to do because some resorts were designed for tourist traffic and others were designed for gambling traffic. Zero in on the iconic hotels that changed the game when they opened like Caesars, Mirage, Wynn, etc.

I think the luxor is a good place to see. I never stayed there but the architecture is great. I suggest you see it at night...
Don't forget to stretch out before you begin your day! The distance seems always closer than they are in realty.

I you want to remember each casino that you visited, you can change one dollar in each for a 1$ chip. It's a great souvenir that's not to expensive!

Try to find me! I'll be ther from Monday to Friday! ;)

One trip a few years ago I decided to get a chip at each casino. Took me 2 days to do the strip and a third day downtown. I wasn't looking around much though. Just getting the chip and leaving.
