I stayed at Excalibur this spring. I hadnt been to Vegas in 3 + years. Just this week I have 2 night stays listed under almost all the MGM properties (not Bellagio, Aria, Vdara). All include $50 resort credit and the some properties include $30 freeplay - some say to call for my freeplay amount. I think I had about $8000 coin in, my stay was Sun - Thurs. I paid for a package thru Delta so they couldnt comp my room but on the back end they comped 2 buffets at Excalibur and 2 buffets at Mandalay Bay plus the resort fees. I made it to their pearl card. I'm just wondering if the offers I've got now seem about right for the play or might I get something more? I'm a "low roller". I spent a lot of my gambling time on 3 credit max quarter games while there. The offers seem fair to me. I was very pleased with the buffets and resort fee credit at the end. Just curious.
Thanks! I'm happy with the offers. I'm hoping to get back sometime in September. I got an email that I could stay one night in Delano scenic suite select nights. I went to check out of curiosity and August 10th was the one and only select night. I thought that was funny - so specific.
Might be a bit of a teaser offer since you haven't been to Vegas in a while. My last trip I had $4500 per night coin-in at Aria and all I have is an offer for $85 per night rooms or comps at Excalibur/MonteCarlo/Luxor.
Thinking of joining you the way they are treating us recently I have a 4 night offer from Cosmo that i'm most defo going to take them up on. I think the remaining part of my August trip this year will be with CET, who ive never stayed with being loyal to Milfe, and I will pop in and see my Host at Aria and explain why I wont be staying / playing with them untill the situation changes. Not that i'm expecting it will do any good but you gota vote with your feet. Unless of course he can pull a 3 day comp out of the bag for me but i'm not holding my breath for that either
That seems like a very low offer. Not sure what coin in average was last year, but doubt it was as much as you. My offers are three nights at all Mlife properties. 100 credit and 75 free play. Booked for October at Delano for five nights, three comp and 65 per for the other two.
My current offer from Aria $700 free play 3 nights at Aria Skysuite with limo transfers and $350 in F&B. It's the only hotel specific offer I've had this year and it's down from my old offers but my host said they'd sort me out back end if it warrants it I've also plenty of express offers. I plays about $20 to $30k coin in a night (average) sometimes more and sometimes less. Your offer seems fair buddy
Oh wow. Yikes. Yours is not a good offer relative to your play. I agree for me mine might be teasers.
This is exactly what my offers look like after getting 2-3 night comps from Aria for the past 2 years. Luckily Cosmo sent an offer I'm going to use in August so they will get my play this time. I'd like to just turn my back on MLIFE completely and try CET but I just like the MLIFE properties better.
MLife knows this and can treat us accordingly. CET gives rooms away at a much easier rate than MLife because their standard rooms aren't as nice. I may have to move down from Aria but MB and MGM are still better than the CET offerings.
Yes - this exactly! Aria has gotten me accustomed to a higher level of room/pool area - I was in the habit of upgrading to the corner suite because seriously when am I ever going to get to stay in a room like that?? I am a low roller who likes to feel like a whale LOL. I will also be more likely to just move down the MLIFE ladder a bit then stay at a CET property.
A mix of both, probably majority was Video Poker, but not sure the exact mix. I was able to get my resort fees comped on the back end... so I guess that's something?
Oh, that's a little different. VP is only worth 1/3rd as much as slots in comps, if that. Your offer is in line with what I got after a short trip with a $2,250/night coin in average on slots in January. It's about what I expected.
When talking about mLife and coin-in, a lot of people don't realize that, depending on the slot machine you play, the amount of TCs that you are earning varies greatly depending on the machine that you are playing. Referring strictly to Las Vegas (Don't get me started on mLife casinos out of state) the more "popular" machines at mLife casinos are $10/TC, while all others are $3/TC. The $10/TC machines all have a 1.5 x 1.5 silver plate on the machine which says "This machine awards 1TC per $10" or words to that effect. AFAIK, mLife tracks TCs earned and not actual coin-in. So $4500 TC over 3 days could be 1500TC, or as little as 450TC. That would be a lot of difference in calculating comps.
I don't think comp offers are based on TCs. Theo is theo. When you play a specialty machine at MGM properties, in addition to whatever horrible payback % it's set for, you pay a penalty in TCs and since it takes $10 coin in to earn a base point, you also pay a penalty in earning ECs and PointPlay. I'm pretty sure someone who plays nothing but specialty machines gets pretty much the same offers as someone who plays regular slots.
Not true. On the MLife site, you can see a breakdown of your coin in and coin out by year, quarter and by property.
Good to know, but in the past I've had much better offers and still played about the same mix, maybe even a bit more heavy on the VP.... My BF who hardly plays anything at all, maybe a tiny bit of VP at a bar, got the same $85 room offer the other day that I get.
