I've always have wanted to be in Vegas for a big fight atmosphere and this fight will have it. I'm going to just hang out and take it in to see what it's like.

    Anybody else?

Since it's at T-Mobile I have to figure out the best hotel to hang at. MGM? NYNY?

If you can try to get tickets. Not many fights of that calibre nowadays. You will love the boxing in Vegas and it is something for the bucket list.

I'll be out there that weekend, booked my trip long ago in hopes that it was going to be McGregor/Mayweather, but alas, stuck with the next best thing instead. Going to try and convince the group of 6 I'm with to maybe attend a viewing party. I have no interest going to the fight, however.

The decision, De La Hoya said, ultimately came down to the entertainment factor.

"People want to go to parties after the fight," said the Hall of Famer, who added that he will open closed-circuit venues in Sin City for the fight., as he did for Canelo's May 6 fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. "You also want to stage the pre-fight parties, the weigh-ins."

I was in town when De La Hoya fought Maywether. We stayed at the Mirage & went down to "feel the atmosphere"
What a shit show! Shoulder to shoulder, you could barely walk. We hung around for about 2 hrs.just soaking it in.
WAY WAY out of my league. $100 min on BJ, Mexican Mafia. Etc.
Didn't go to the fight......couldn't afford it. But it was a experiance you should check out.

I'm thinking abt going. I can get a comp room most any weekend but that weekend no comps on Saturday and only place I can get Friday is Excal. Not too happy.

Just one mans opinion but McGregor/Mayweather is a total side show. I doubt McGregor could beat a top 20 welterweight let alone one of the best ever.

Outside chance I'll make it out for GGG/Canelo. If I do I will watch it at a viewing party as I'm sure good seats will be out of my price range. I still think GGG gets him out of there in the later rounds but Canelo has a legit chance.

    Just a quickie...

Both GGG and Alvarez are hugely popular boxers and would be a great card to watch live or ppv. Mayweather/McGregor
match is a joke and it appears Money wishes to finance his strip club. Looks like it`s set for August 26. Sure wish Mayweather
would fight a real boxer like Terence Bud Crawford and proceed to get his clock cleaned.

Here's the Wiki page for the fight. No times listed as well as no undercards identified. CBS Sports doesn't show a time either.

I will be in town. I love GGG. Went to both his fights in MSG and this bout has the chance to be the fight of the decade. The tix to this fight sold out in seconds. There are abt 20k seats in T Mobile. I would say no more than a couple thousand went on sale to the gen pop. The rest were divvied up by the fighters, promoters, casinos and HBO. I tried to get tix both in a Golden Boy (the promoter) presale event and in the regular sale time. No dice. Every ticket below 1500 was gone immediately and by now every ticket has been sold. Strip hotel rooms are outrageous that weekend, the cheapest rate I can get for sat nite in 170$ at Excal. Just abt every other saturday I can get comped anywhere. I check almost everyday and they fluctuate daily. It actually kinda odd. The cheapest face value tickets are $300 and they are going for 3x on the broker market and then you have $300 in fees and taxes on top. 1200 bucks to sit next to the roof in TMobile is too rich for me and I love boxing and I keep a GGG in my pants. No no hotel yet. And no fight tickets. If anyone has any thoughts abt what may happen to room prices let me know. Im not sure when I should pull the trigger and just book.
Anyway, the main event will start abt 8:30ish. Depends on the undercard (none have been announced yet) and how long they go. Shouldn't start past 9pm local time as that will be midnite back east.

I'm waaaay out of the loop. Upon reading this thread I thought it was going to be immediately removed as a political comment! Sorry, but I've never heard of either of these guys.
