I hear people talking about coupon runs. Can someone give me some advice as to what that means and how do you get coupons.

it's a great way to give a little structure to your day without being on a tight schedule. and a great way to get to know some casinos that you have never been to before.
when you purchase the 2 coupons books mentioned above, they pay for themselves easily.

    What @vegasdev said.

It's good to plan your runs geographically when possible - group your visits to casinos near each other when possible.

Downtown makes for an awesome and potentially very profitable coupon run. We start at MSS for 2/1 breakfast. Then hit Plaza, Golden Gate, 4 Queens, Binions, The D, Downtown Grand and El Cortez.

Or combine your coupon play with other promos.

Example, last trip at South Point they had a promo going earn 300 points (?) and get to swipe for a prize. Do this on Monday Senior day and earning 300 points gets you 2 slot tournament entries also. Turn in the ACG coupon for earn 300 points, get a free buffet.

So, we each earned 300 points in one day and got....free swipe for prize, 2 slot tournament entries and a free buffet all from the same 300 points.

Used the LVA online coupon for 2/1 breakfast buffet. Cheap at 2/1. We really got lucky and we won a $10 restaurant certificate and a $25 resort gift card in the swiper promo. Came close to cashing in the slot tournament. Had dinner at Don Vito's - used 2x ACG coupons for free appetizers with entrée purchase in addition to the $10 dining credit and $25 resort card. Paid the rest with points (some earned that day, others we had earned previously). Free dinner! And we still have those vouchers for free buffets. We will use them for a Friday night seafood buffet on our next trip. So another free dinner "in the bank" so to speak.

Back to coupon runs and grouping with promotions:

Tuesdays is great for "North Las Vegas" - Hit up Silver Nugget for a great 2/1 breakfast with ACG coupon. Jerry's Nugget gives seniors an extra $5 MP plus ACG MP and FSP. Swing by Bighorn for another ACG $5 MP. Rampart MP and FSP plus it's their senior day as well. Rampart has $5 lunch buffet for seniors that day. Or end up at Suncoast, use ACG 5x points coupon and use an LVA 2/1 buffet coupon and some of the points you just earned to pay.

Thursdays are Ellis Island senior day. Free drink and snack for seniors. They have a plethora of coupons between the two books. Use an MRB coupon for 2/1 breakfast and then get busy on the coupons. Hit up Hooters for their MP and FSP's. Continue on to the Palms for MPs in both books. End up at Gold Coast with all their coupons in both books. If you still have energy, go to Orleans and use those coupons.

There are more, but I think you get the idea.

For maximum entertainment value, do the northern run (Jerry's Nugget, Silver Nugget, Bighorn, Lucky Club) at night! Just kidding - odds are 50-50 you won't come back alive from that, and I don't want to carry that guilt for the rest of my life.

Yep, particularly if you're a downtowner. The food deals for downtown combined with the gambling makes it well worth the investment. If you spend most of your time on the strip, you may not find it quite as advantageous, but otherwise it's an easy win.

absolutely worth it to me $37 + $3.50 shipping = $40.50 US, Slightly higher shipping international. Read through thru coupons and make your own decision. Easy to use if downtown, but enough close to strip for worth also

Love me some coupons runs! ( except for my last trip. TR to come. ) But it is a great way to pass
some time, move around, and maximize what SHOULD be a very good advantage in betting
    those match plays!

A coupon run is what got me hooked on blackjack. Never played the game until use of matchplays from LVA and ACG.
When on a prodigious run of hitting 14 straight wins on various MPs throughout the Vegas valley.
Mapped out the most efficient travel plan and did hit-n-run at each site. Otherwise, the expected return drastically falls if you play more than one hand.
Casinos dislike people like me, but without the enticement of MPs, I may have never started playing blackjack. So, they do serve a purpose and the casinos eventually benefit, as the MPs turned me into a regular player.

Just as an FYI - most "senior" promotions begin with 50 and over in Vegas which is something I hate to admit to it at home but will definitely suck up as much as I can in Vegas. Lol

So, we don't gamble much in Vegas. The fiance loves slots though, but we always stay down, every time. Would the LVA Membership be worth it just for food/bars?

only you can decide. Many BOGO and discounts for restaurants. if you were eating at binions steak place the 25% off would almost cover the book.
