We will be staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Suites behind the Flamingo around the end of August this year. We wanted to take some quick pictures by the Flamingo Pool when it's not full of people. Silly question but are we allowed to go near the pool when it is closed? We don't actually don't want to go in the pool but maybe spend 5 minutes or so taking some quick snaps to show the folks back home half way across the world.

    Thanks in advance

You will not be allowed access to the pool during closed hours.
If your just looking for a good photo op, you can get a decent overview of the pool on the walkway to the monorail station.

Ask for a high room and take the snaps. I'm sure they will allow you access to one even if you're not allocated a high floor. Contact them before arrival and specify what you want they are excellent st holding what you require. You'll love it there. You can go to the Flamingo pools with your room card but the gate is closed when the pool is closed. I'm here now so any more questions ask away and I will find the answer. BTW it says everywhere is no smoking but they now allow smoking at the pool. Grrrrr. If you message me and give me your name and arrival I can ask them to put it on your booking. Ps. They will be even more helpful for a box of English chocolate. Flamingo pool party noise is horrible in the afternoon so suggest you do your sunbathing in the morning. My favourite place to stay in the whole of Vegas.

    Thanks for your replies
I've stayed there before but it was in March before the pools opened for the season so I wasn't sure what the access would look like. I might just go early when it does open. Is it usually busy at 9am?

I don't know how early the lines form but they were always there when the pool opened on weekdays last summer when I stayed there. They don't go very fast either, they check everyone's bags, purses and stuff.

Good news for you. Just asked at reception and you can join the VIP line. That will say Diamond and Seven Stars members. Just ensure you have your room key. You shouldn't have to wait long at any time in that line.

Is that because we will be staying at the hotel behind the Flamingo so it's like a shared property?

They used to be one and the same company (Hilton) and have kept the use of the Flamingo pool for their guests, if they require it.

Sherrie, I stayed there at the timeshares there some 20 years ago....Might ask the people at the timeshare property ( concierge if ya will) if they help ya or at least point ya in the right direction. Rooms were great . Only negative is I had a beautiful view of their A/C units as I was thinking the same thing( think I was on the 2nd floor). But to be honest with ya I thought it looked better with some people in the pool..That said get there as others said as early as possible..pool seemed to get crowded quick.

We own there (HGVC Flamingo) and love it there, but we are there only in Jan (for the Consumer Electronics show) so never get to the pool.
