After reading posts about slot golf, casino crawls, etc., I want to do one downtown involving video poker since that is our game.

    Here are my current thoughts:

11 casinos, 20 mins and 1 beer at each casino. It should take about 4-4.5 hours with walk time, cash outs, etc. And end with a very good buzz and hopefully a profit.

$20 buy in at each casino. Total of $220 invested by each person. All cash out money will be put into envelope and split at the end.

Play $0.25 VP – whatever VP game you want. Planning on playing at the bar for quicker drink service. Most bars will have lower pay tables. But I know Boar’s Head, Vue Bar, Plaza, and El Cortez have some full pay games at some of their bars. Any others that I missed?

Still need to decide when to cash out. Which option would you choose?

    1) After you play your 16 hands ($1.25/hand), you have to cash out whatever is left on the machine. That cash out amount will be put into the pot to be split at the end. After 16 hands if you want to play (of course we do since we are degenerates!!!), you will need to play with your own money.

    2) Cash out once you reach $40 or more on your machine (double up option).

    3) Cash out only after playing for the full 20 mins or until it is all gone (whichever comes 1st).

Going to start at the ElCortez. Then DT Grand, Fremont, Binions, Cal, MSS, Plaza, Golden Gate, Golden Nugget, 4 Queens and finish at the D, where we currently plan on staying.

    Any other suggestions or comments?

We do a Video poker crawl as well. We all play until someone hits a 4 of a kind. Or until the group has hit hit 5 full houses. Playing double double bonus. When someone hits we cash out and move on to the next one. Of course we wait for our drinks to come. We don't pool our money... we have a side bet where everybody puts in 20 bucks and who ever ends up with the most quads gets that pot. We usually have 4 on the crawl.

If you consider 9/6 DDB to be full pay, then 4 Queens has it at all of their bars for quarters. DT Grand has it at the 50 cent level at Furnace Bar.

I consider 9/6 DDB "full pay" because VPFree2 tells me so. Lol

But I heard that 40/10/6 DDB (99.96%) may still be available at 50c+ at 4Q bars.

Also at DTG Grand, the 8/5 DDB progressive is sometimes the best game choice by return, being over 99%+.

    As for the method.

I don't like the 16 hand thing. Maybe 40 hands ($50 coin in), or go broke, whichever comes first.

But if you guys really like playing, option 3 is also good choice.

11 stops = 11 beers in 4-4.5 hours. I like beer but that seems pretty quick to remain focused on the task at hand (at some point the bathroom jaunt becomes the task at hand). Good luck!

Nothing a $10 peepee fee can't handle to keep things on track ;)

Just read another post. It sounds like we might encounter "problems" getting a drink at the Golden Nugget bars. Might have to skip. Plus they will have the worst pay tables.

By the way we decided to do the double up cash out option.

3 guys. Everyone plays until your machine is $40 or more, or the 20 mins are up, or your $20 is gone, whichever comes 1st.

And I agree, with bathroom breaks, cashouts, walking, etc., it will take 5-5.5 hours.

Replace it with the second 4Q bar.

Sounds like fun! Downtown is the perfect place to do something like this!

I like the 16 hands idea. Puts everyone on equal footing.

I like the 40 hand idea. 16 hands will be too quick. An idea would be whoever has the most on their ticket after 40 hands gets a point, whoever has the most points gets the pot at the end. Golf has 18 holes tho not 11 so you may have to revisit your 7 favorites and play at a different bar. Hopefully you don't have to go to a playoff after 18 holes incase a tie it might get sloppy.:vomit:
