Just finished up a solo trip ... now looking to plan a trip with the wife. We have stayed at Aria and The Mirage Resort Tower rooms (both nice), but are looking for someone new. I was wondering about The Cromwell and Bellagio. Looking for a quiet room with a comfortable bed, nice shower, clean, and few hassles. We wonder around, so the casino isn't that important. Opinions?

    Thanks.

We stayed at The Cromwell last year and it was a nice room just a little on the small size. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice. My wife really liked the shampoo that was provided. We would stay again but there are not any food choices except Giadas but the Flamingo food court is close enough for a quick snack.

I stayed solo at the Cromwell. The room is nice, I didn't notice any issues with noise from Draiis and I like the casino.

The room is small but has all you need, comfortable bed, lots of seating, vanity station and the shower is great. I face timed with my wife and showed her the room and she was impressed.

Just an addition to this - in the room there is a big mirror in the room which is also a mirror in the shower. Two girls at the bar informed me that it's see thru from the room side. I was never able to confirm this as I was solo but they informed me that one of them embarrassed herself. They were drunk and annoying so I never bothered to find out the full story but I did make note to try discover with my wife if it's true.

Cromwell is a great hotel for "wanderers". The elevator bank is 30 seconds from the street which makes getting in and out a breeze. That combined with the location makes it perfect as a base for casino hopping on the strip.

I'll also throw in that the Porte Cochere is usually very uncrowded so you'll never wait for a cab. If you are Lyft/Uber user, their pickup point is right out the back door and to the left down some stairs at the Flamingo rear entrance.

everything was pretty new and clean .. but the room was just too dark for my liking

Yes the mirror is see thru. If someone is using the shower and has the lights on in the bathroom and the room is dark you can see whoever is in the shower.

I have stayed there 3 or 4 times and have never noticed this and my friend and I have taken showers while the other was in the room. But it was daylight and the lights/tv were on in the room. I guess my point is that, while from what others have said it is possible to see someone in the shower, in my experience I have never seen it. So it isn't really a problem all of the time.

Same here. Stayed there for 3 nights back in November. Neither me nor my wife could figure out the "see through" aspect of the shower. It just seemed to opaque to see anything. Wouldn't have even known it or investigated it if it wasn't for one of the Blackjack dealers in the casino making a big deal about it.

Bellagio beds are crazy comfortable. I've stayed there a number of times...has become my home base! The pool is amazing, too!
    Have fun!!!
