Here's who I am subscribed to - who am I missing I should be following?

    • Andrew Neeme - this is my top choice favorite by far. Love his breakdown of thinking and hands. Only downside is it's mainly a cash game focus (although he does play 2/5 and 5/10 most often, which is great to learn from for cash games) and I like to play more tournaments. You can tell this is a great dude to hang out with and that only helps make his vlogs better to watch. I am taking two of his "Favorable" shirts to Vegas with me LOL
    • The Trooper - he's on a bit of a downswing in poker and life, and his last few vlogs definitely reflect that, but overall there's entertainment value here. Seeing the 'average joe' move to Vegas and sustain a living (so far) on poker alone is cool to watch. The drama lately is sort of like watching COPS on tv though... watch it to feel good about my poker game (or life in some cases).
    • Doug Polk - he is one of the best no limit holdem tournament players I can find with a vlog. I believe this guy is independently wealthy and just getting good at poker to have a focus in his life at this point. There are some gem hand reviews and funny videos in his vlog. Find the three posts where he dissects poker hands in the Rounders movie as if they were real game hands, you'll laugh for a while. Also have been following him in WSOP this year and he's a final table somewhere in the middle of the field for the $111,111 One Drop tournament.
    • PokerKraut - to me he is the opposite of Trooper - humble, down to earth, likable, and plays a solid winning game of poker (by the hand history anyway). I also speak German so it's fun to hear him mix it up when he's talking to other Germans, but that's a side bonus for me. Clearly a good dude who works hard (poker dealer and poker player) and has some funny anecdotes to go along with his vlogs.
    • Jeff Boski - this guy loves playing tournaments at Wynn and Venetian - i would say half or more of his vlog videos are from these two casinos. He says he'll be making an appearance in the WSOP Main this year, I hope we cross paths. I find a lot of his logic completely off base, and especially his last 1-2 poker tournament reviews, his play and thought process to be long-term losing. Wouldn't take his poker advice, as he tends to be a bit simple-minded about things, but think he's a good guy and the vlog is cool to watch to see the tournaments he gets into.
    • Brad Owen - solid player, don't know much of his backstory, but he must have some money based on the house it looks like he lives in. He gets into the 2/5 and 5/10 NLHE cash games in LV and posts good hand history details - I think his cash game thought process is pretty solid as he explains his decisions.
    • Matt Vaughn - newest one I've found, younger guy who plays a pretty solid game - don't know much about him yet either but he does a nice job of trying to make his vlog entertaining and mixing in the poker hand details as well. Think he is based out of the Maryland casino area (Baltimore-ish) so most action from those casinos unless he's travelling for an event.
    Who else do you watch/follow?

Yeah my brother loves watching Andrew and the trooper.

Andrew's vlog is very polished and professional. I like his insights and introspective reviews on his plays. I also like his rants in poker issues

The trooper is just a cool guy. i would probably watch his videos even if they weren't about poker

Another vote for the Trooper. Like his vlogs. Never miss them.

Met him a couple years ago in Vegas. Good guy. Easy to root for.

So I haven't been caught up with the trooper and his videos. Is he doing ok? You mentioned that he's at a downswing in his life....

He had a pretty girlfriend for 5-6 months who just ditched him, and he hasn't had a winning poker session in quite some time. Also seems like his bankroll/liferoll are at an all time low. And his general demeanor is getting pretty negative in his videos - spending more time rebutting trolls than talking about the cool shit that put him on the map.

Also seems like he leaves empty words behind - talking about doing things like improving his diet/health but never actually doing it (and always posting videos where he's eating terrible greasy stuff for example) - but then always complaining about how it's not his fault when he feels like sh-- and can't lose weight. Or he made some kind of bet with PokerKraut and then flaked out after he lost and never followed through. Also there's some kind of Vlogger poker tournament in California in a month or two, where the names I listed above plus 1 or 2 more are getting flown in and kept in the hotel / casino for 2 days to do this thing - Trooper was invited but ignoring them all. So just a lot of general negative / loner stuff going on right now for him, by what I can tell.

Oh darn... it's a tough lifestyle with a lot of highs and lows. I know I wouldn't be able to handle it... Hopefully things swing back up.

All good vlogs in their own ways. Trooper has an interesting back story as a dealer for home games where he almost caught a bullet in a raid, which was his impeteous for heading to LV. Neeme's are well done with one of the highest subscribers on the poker vlogs.

@TRN I watch several of those same channels as you. Neeme, Polk, Troop, and Brad Owen. I suggest Daniel Negranu's channel..especially right now with the WSOP in full swing. He's got his own personal RV parked outside the Rio for him to relax on breaks and eat and take naps

Jake Cody from the U.K recently started vlogging. Quality of his videos is pretty sweeet. Talks about how he got into poker and also goes over hands Andrew Neeme style. Dude seems like a nice guy and is obv an absolute crusher at poker.

I like Andrew's vlog the best, and Tropper's vlog at this point has become a train wreck.

trooper was punching above his weight will molly....trooper on one hand seems very hard working with his time and effort on his vlogs but then also comes across as lazy ie never being on time, also saying hes going to lose weight, i think his poker play isnt great and thats why he turned down the vlog poker game. He also does let trolls get to him and i think a lot of people enjoy watching his vlogs as it makes themselves feel better

    The folks who I follow:
    • Andrew Neeme ~ Poker vlogging's gold standard. Excellent content. The production values are top-notch. And I was wearing a FAVORABLE t-shirt when I got a bad beat jackpot. :)
    • Pokerkraut ~ A nice guy with an entertaining vlog. I replay very few German segments trying to remember anything from my three years of high school German 50 years ago.
    • The Trooper ~ He reminds me of an at-risk teenager working hard to discover the meaning of life … and he gets an A+ for trying. He wears his emotions on his sleeves, and I admire his honesty and sincerity. His vlog is sometimes like watching a train wreck, but the guy has heart.
    • Brad Owen ~ Solid vlog by a personable young man. I'm getting a little turned off by his recent promoting of poker training products.
    • Jeff Boski ~ Entertaining. I like the format and how he goes over hands, however I often do not understand many decisions, but he's the pro and I'm certainly not. Boski gets BIG points for his support of boxer rescue and the profits from his products support it, but I shake my head for the plugs of a Las Vegas massage parlor and endorsements by porn stars.
    • Matt Vaughn ~ I recently discovered him and have enjoyed what I've seen.
    • Pinoy Imge ~ As the nom de plume suggests, he is a Filipino trucker who playes 1/2 & 1/3 in various places on the road. He admits that he is a poker work in progress. I can relate. Good vlog, if a bit wordy at times.

Agree with all booker's sentiments pretty much 100%.

I don't watch Brad's as regularly at present, so haven't seen too much of the promo stuff.

There is a thread on 2p2 that is a cesspit of hate, so hopefully this one remains more readable.

Amazes me how irritated some people are by Trooper, given that it has no impact on their lives whatsoever, lol.

Also, I've gotten some good fast food tips and he, alongside Andrew, have me convinced that cashgames are the way to go this summer :D

He's actually renowned for his HU prowess, and I think he's known to be one of the best HU cash players.

I find his stuff funny, and for someone so talented he's very self deprecating, which is an excellent quality to have.
