I have a question.. someone I know won freeplay and it was not on the card, she goes to players club to find out why. Lady at desk says there is a problem, calls security. Security comes up and escorts her back to back office where they say she "stole" 477 that was sticking out of the cashout kiosk. "She" says I did not do this. They say it happened back in March, mind you she goes to said casino at least a few times a month. They say they know its her because shes the last person to use the kiosk after the person who did not get their money and she should have turned it in. "She" said she did not steal it, and they asked her several times for the money, which "she" did not have.

Question, if they have no proof and all they can say is that the ticket that "she" cashed out was linked to her via players card and since "she" was next to use it it has to be her. They will not show her the video, is that legal? Also this occurred over three months ago, why attack her now?

This same casino allowed my husband to be robbed, and nothing done, and also my grandma left a ticket in machine for over 350, and when told to security they said too bad so sad,any money left is fair game. So if in fact "she" had taken it why would the rules not be the same too bad so sad?

If you feel wrongly prosecuted, contact Bob Nersesian...although since it's a native American casino he might not take it as their "sovereign" rules are different.
I'll tell you the ONLY time I've ever been harassed for picking up a slot ticket off the floor (people always throw down tickets that are less than 10c), it was at an Indian casino!
They told me any money left on the floor is property of the casino..I said "fair enough, here's your one day pay" haha

most casinos have great surveillance, they should clearly be able to tell who redeemed that TITO.

Did she take the ticket from the kiosk or not? You just mention that she tells security she didn't, you don't state that she didn't take the ticket - I just want to clarify.

    Prosecuted? What did I miss?

They should be showing video. Just because a ticket associated with your card number was the next one redeemed, doesn't mean someone didn't walk by there in between and grab the cash.

We only play freeplay there, not cash.. because we went crazy with the tax refund . "she" did not redeem the TITO, supposedly the person before her put their TITO in the cashout machine, got their change but "forgot" their 477.. they wont show her the footage of her supposedly grabbing the money.. and it was the final straw for our whole family.. were done... my grandma wasn't upset by the money she didn't cash out, she admitted it was her mistake and she forgot to cash out.. and my husband had a seizure and his wallet was emptied..

Don't understand the " " every so often. Sorry.

So, is the casino saying someone before her tried to redeem their ticket and the money spit out AFTER that person left? And that she (or should I say "she") took it?

What was taken? Money? Someone's Free Play voucher? Can kiosks dispense cash?

Honestly I don't quite follow the story. Maybe it's just me.

So I guess the person went to cash in 477.xx TITO. Person grabbed the .xx then "she" used the machine after said person, cashed in her TITO and left. The casino is saying "she" knowingly took the 477 that was left behind. However when she asked for video proof, they refuse to show it to her.

SO in a nutshell, someone supposedly somehow left behind 477 dollars and friend supposedly purposely grabbed it according to casino. then today they decided to nab her even though it happened 3 months ago..

This seems pretty shady. All of your posts state that "she" didn't physically cashout out the TITO; however, due to how "you" are explaining the situation it is pretty clear to "me" that "she" knows exactly what happened to that TITO....

Also as long as they aren't discriminating any business can refuse service.

Seems negligent on the part of the casino not to call law enforcement, review tape, and share player club information for an immediate pick-up by authorities. It appears the casino had no jurisdiction (in this story) until she returned to the scene of the crime. Huh?

IMHO ...............not everything is caught on cameras - this is what the casinos want us to believe
I don't have a comment for this story.

It was Pechanga.. and she had been back there several times since march and nothing was said or done.. and friend went to kiosk to cash out her voucher and apparently according to security the 477 was sitting there so she grabbed the 477 on top of her 28 bucks that she was cashing out and left. however, friend said she did not grab any money other than her own, and won't show her the tape of her actually doing it.
and shes not allowed back in until she pays the money back.. even though she says she did not do it.
