Hi! I will be staying at the Palazzo and have never been in it or the Venetian. I have been to Vegas but stayed at MGM. So, any suggestions about things to see or do in the hotel? I'm a little intimidated when looking at the website. Thank you for any suggestions! Diane
Try the new restaurant Chica! A Key Lime Pie martini from the Fusion Bar at Palazzo. Have Wendy make it if she's working. Stop at Grand Luxe cafe bakery and order a dozen fresh baked warm chocolate chip cookies to take to your room at night. They bake them fresh to order so it takes about 20 minutes with a glass of cold milk to go. Bone in Ribeye and onion rings at CUT. Happy Hour at Table 10 and get the chartreuse board with the meats and the pickled gherkins on the board have the best spicy acidic flavor ever! Of course play the slots and lots of good shopping. You can take the gondola but that's not my thing. Lol
nothing to be intimidated about venetian has the canals running through the shopping area it's a fun little change of scenery there are multiple pools to choose from venetian/palazzo has great restaurants my favorite steakhouse is Carnevino with its dry aged rib eye their pastas and everything else is great as well Bouchon is a GREAT place for brunch no reservations though just go early and put your name down i also really like the Yardbird for brunch as well for a bit of southern flavor are they giving you free tickets to BAZ? it's a good show if you've watched the movies and liked the music when the Romeo & Juliet, "kissing you" song came on.... that hit me with a flood of memories worth watching if they are throwing in the tickets
Thank you! Good ideas! It just looks so big and I don't know my way around like I did MGM. But hubby wanted to try something new. Good tips thank both so much!
No free tickets that I know of but already going to 2 shows! Really looking forward to that, and will keep us from losing more money! LOL!
- Grand Lux Cafe for a meal. - Walk around the Grand Canal Shops, see if there is free entertainment in St Marks Sq - Take a Gondola ride? - I'm sure there are discount tickets offers for Baz. Heard really good things about the show.
Madame Tussauds is at The Palazzo and if staying there it's a discounted price. Also, lots of restaurants and shopping to browse.
Grimaldis for pizza Grab free samples of chocolate at Godiva Watch the shows in st mark square Eat at Grand Luxe anytime of day Walk over to Wynn and explore the food options
Question...I have only been in Palazzo which is why I ask, but how close by is Venetian- Is it a long walk through the shopping area?
you don't have to walk through the canal shops (which takes a long time because it's sort of a twisted maze with bridges) if you walk from casino floor to casino floor, it should take like... 1 minute there are a handful of restaurants that you pass by and the theater box office. that's it by the way, i had the chicken and waffle at Yardbird on friday night........... that thing was amazing highly recommend it if you're into fried chicken and/or waffles at all
I like the Venetian/Palazzo and their standard rooms are great, probably the best in Vegas. Alot of high end shopping and the canal is interesting, but I've never actually done it. Bouchon in Venetian has a great breakfast, and we had a very good dinner at Lavo in Palazzo - meatball the size of a soft ball.
I like the Aquavana daypass for $30 to do the igloo, eucalyptus steam etc. Delomonico is excellent especially their scotch selection. Cut equally good but I prefer the mac n cheese over the onion rings. Bouchon for breakfast. The list goes on and on
Thank you this is another question, we are staying at palazzo but going to see Mat Franco at Linq. How close are they? Too close to take a cab? Thanks in advance!
It's pretty close. Go out the Venetian. Walk south through Harrahs (you can go inside and beat the heat if desired). Linq is next. I wouldn't take a cab for this but I don't have a problem walking for 15 mins.
