If you are having troubles with comps, even low-roller three nights and a food credit, don't give up until you talk to Nords directly. I never got my emails or voicemails returned, but I found that Nords randomly answers his own phone. Twice I spoke to him and both times got what I needed.

Someone asked about the Banger beers. The last time I was there, they had the Downtown Brown, but I didn't see others. They have a better selection in the Parlour Bar, although you are mostly out of luck if you're a quarter VP player.

As for Siegel's, I am still mixed on the place. They have some upscale options that the old coffee shop didn't have, but many of the options from the Flame are gone.

We stop in El Co almost every trip (2-3x/year), usually play for a couple-few hours there each trip. I've yet to be sent an offer for anything. My sister goes there for the first time, barely plays anything and gets a free room and play offer. Any ideas? I checked last time to see if they had the proper address and email address and they did. I probably play $15 blackjack for a couple of hours and maybe lose $100-200 in slots. Not a ton, but this gets me a free room at Flamingo on the strip or Golden Gate downtown, but not a glance here.

Same here our last three trips we stayed and paid for tower room 14th floor. We play about $300 per day between the slots, tables and sports book. I have never received a mailer for any comps. Two months ago I called to see what comps I could get they offered use a second-floor room for $23 a night. So we are trying the Four Queens. No more Elco for us.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever gotten a room comp there. Granted I don't play there a whole lot, but I did have a few craps sessions. Bought in for $500 each time, and was doing $10 min bets. But, I made the mistake of going during the day one time. They had all new dealers. Pit boss and I had to keep correcting payouts. A few times they put my payout right in front of them, and I was on the opposite side of the table. Asked the PB if I could use my cane to rake the chips over. :)

Ditto here. Even stayed there with NO comps for room or food. Gave up. I guess El can do without my donation. I've since moved on. Oh.......they do send me a postcard monthly offering nothing more than discounts. LOL

I get offers from them all the time and i dont play huge, maybe 2-3K a day at .25 VP and some $10 BJ. The EL gives the best/easiest comps of anyplace downtown IMO.

I was considering using a LVA 2 for 1 night Cabana suite for $45 for May. I thought the resort fee was $8.95 but just checked and it's now $16.95. Not a deal breaker but it is rubbing off on me the wrong way. Is the Cabana suite across the street? The Pavillion is about $39 a night and the Vintage (stairs only) is about $37 a night.

Go out the door by the gift shop to cross the street to the Cabana Suites.

I did get an offer for the first quarter. used it in Feb, 3 days hotel 25 food, 25 FP. Played enough to make it to sapphire yet no offers since. Get monthly email telling my "offer inside" yet when open email just banner ad of why it would be good to visit for that month. Doubt I'll visit this coming trip, want to secure my boyd sapphire status and will put in one long night at GG when my girl V is bartending on Monday.

Like others, I've played there for many years - on every trip - and I've never once received a room-comp offer... just offers for discounted rooms + resort fee.
Perhaps I'll swing by their player's club when I'm there in May & ask about that.
I always give them 6-8 hours of play, usually over two days per trip... $10-$30 blackjack & $5 craps (about $30 bet per set point).
    ...but that's not enough?

I played there 3 nights out of 6 last week. there is a lot to like about the ELCO. time will tell if I get any offers. I wish they had a pool. I REALLY wish they would get rid of that nasty fragrance. you can even smell it outside as you approach. it is not healthy, and it does not eliminate the smoke.

I can echo the same - I have thrown in $1K/day over 2 days there a few months ago just to see if it changed anything but the same old casino rate. I know it is micro rolling but compared to what similar type playing at Caesars, DTG, or the D will likely get you...it doesnt make sense. I also saw that the ElCo upped their resort fee to $15/night. Quote me if I am wrong, but I think the only change is that it includes the K-Cups instead of charging.

El Co was the first casino that comped us for rooms about 10 years ago. We've since moved on to nicer casinos to stay but we're always drawn back several times per trip to gamble. Something great about the El Co that's hard to put a finger on. For one, I like the break-in dealers at craps. They're working hard to make it, thus never have a bad attitude (like GN dealers sometimes do). Also, i'm now a bit of a big fish in a small pond, so that's kind of cool. I also like that they cater to people from all walks of life. I'm in Vegas for the gambling not the social scene so I like to be around some locals who take their gamble seriously. To that end, you can be near death-like and fully scooterized and decrepit and El Co staff seems to still treat you right. Kind of reassuring for when i get that way 40 years or so from now.

I have ate at Pizza Lotto 3 times and it is very good! Free Picture of beer with a large pizza. We usually don't eat a whole pizza, but get a box and give the leftovers to someone on the street that looks like they could use a meal. I used Restaurant.com gift certificates all 3 times with no problem. Groupon also has Pizza Lotto deals.

We stop in every time we're in town. I enjoy the place but hate they've bumped the resort fee up. We only stay at hotels with no resort fees but occasionally El Cortez is cheaper with everything included. Also, when staying in the Pavilion we usually get a room facing the Praying Mantis which is fun to open the door, crack a beer and people watch. Currently have a Pizza Lotto Groupon we need to use.

I was always comped at El Cor fifteen years ago when it was, well, less nice than it is now. When the changes started I fell off the comped list. I stayed there many times and got nothing. I finally took them up on their 'earn 300 points and get your room comped' offers. Still nothing. A few years back I upped my VP play to fifty cents and nothing. I finally called their host (Nords) and asked for some room nights. One or two times doing this and now my mailer reads 3 free nights and $25 foods don't free play. It took awhile but I'm back, I hope.

Only one CW there when l was chasing a beer, hence the reason l was so pissed off with them. Hopefully they have listened to their complaining patrons as they left the gambling floor to obtain a drink. l did offer to serve drinks to the patrons wearing a G-string if l received a dollar per drink, the suit sensibly declined my offer. Seems like a good money making job to me, however, l think that l might not know the real story regarding the tips that the CWs get. Anyone?

I like the $5.00 margarita's they have. A Cadillac margarita for $5.00 is awesome.
