    My Trip Report

So, it’s another trip to Vegas, I’m checked in for my flights and have a little bit of work to get through today. We leave tomorrow morning arriving just after 10 am and get home Wednesday. The last trip was for the SB and everything but the gaming was great. We had a big night the last night of the trip that got us back to only a respectable loss, hopefully that momentum can carry us to a nice start this time around. We will be staying at the Aria again, 3 nights comped and a pretty good rate for the 4th night. Several weeks ago, we got the e-mail asking about the corner suite upgrade, I’ve never taken them up on this offer but thought I’d give it a try this time. We like a nice room and think that the Aria rooms are great, I am anxious to see what we think of the corner suite.

We have a few things planned. Dinner on Saturday is set for Picasso, I’m hoping for a window seat or if it’s not too hot even to sit outside. Any suggestions on making that happen? Reservations for Sunday brunch at Bardot, we’ll see if that happens, we’ve been talking about it forever but never seem to make it there. Tuesday, we have a Cabana at Aria and then dinner reservations at Carbone. We have started a tradition of Carbone on the last night of the trip. Other things that are tentative but not solidified plans either Zumanity or Mystere, we haven’t seen either yet and really enjoy the Cirque shows. I’ve been wanting to try Charlie Palmer so that might be an option. Probably get a burger on Memorial Day, we should celebrate the start of summer the right way.

Other than that, there is not too much planned. We will make good use of the pool. We tend to get up and walk the strip in the morning before the heat is too oppressive. I will get a shave at the salon at Aria. We will probably get day passes to the spa one day, it is so relaxing. We are one of those people you wonder about who shop in the high-end places. We each usually buy one splurge item each trip. For several trips in a row I would get a tie from Hermes, I’ll probably do something different as I don’t need ties for work anymore. I like to window shop at the watch places, she likes to window shop at LV, Prada, Gucci and the like.

We are mostly dice players. Wonka will probably take some of the bankroll, searching for that elusive golden ticket. I don’t think they really exist. Sometimes we do a little slot tournament between ourselves, play for 15 minutes and the person with the bigger TITO gets both. Any slot can be played for this. Depending on how things go at the dice tables we run a fair amount through a high limit slot just for the thrill of it and the chance at a decent payout. I’ll take suggestions on my best option, particularly at Aria. Immediately after check in we are going to place an 8 for $96 and parlay the winnings hoping for 4 hits before a 7. That would be a nice way to start things off.

I suck at taking pictures, but will try to remember. I usually do a daily recap if I do a trip report and will probably do the same this time. I better get some work done and get through the day.

Have a great trip. We stayed last September for two nights on a comp and I did the upgrade to a corner suite. Upon check-in they re-directed me to the Tower lounge and put me in a Tower corner suite. It was a very nice room with views from MGM all the way to Planet Hollywood. The best part was on check out they did not charge me the upgrade fee.

All corner suites are part of the tower suites so you can go-to the tower check in lounge. Also if you are flying you get free limo to and from the airport with any tower suite including the corner ones.

Oh, they exist. Years ago, I held a woman's wonka machine at V/P for her for 10 minutes (I had been playing beside her for an hour or so). She got back on...not 10 minutes later...BOOM...the golden ticket.

They do exist. I hope YOU find one this trip, and have a stellar trip!

PS the corner suites are great, and I really love the lounge....you get spoiled quickly. Enjoy!!!!

Have you tried placing the 8 for $66, parlay + $1 to 144, then parlay to 300, 600 and if it hits the 4th time, take down the $1,300?

This is just a $100 shot to start the trip, 4 hits in a row would be a great start.

The flight to Detroit was fine. Sitting on the plane now though waiting for a repair. Started Rouge One and just hanging out. Hope to be in the air within 30 minutes getting us in a little late. That's ok no reals plans this afternoon.

Hopefully they next update is from Aria itself.

After getting into town a little bit late, about 11:30 instead of 10, we made our way to Aria. Presidential was great as always. Check in at the tower suites lounge was as could be. We got a corner suite on the 51st floor with a mountain view. I think the room is great, the toilet is wonderful, maybe I'm do for a new toilet at home. We unpacked and made our way down to the casino. Got a solid hour or so of craps play and had a net loss of 15% of the buy in so that was good. With 6:30 dinner reservations we thought we should get a snack. We decided to see what th y had in the tower suite lounge and munched on some cronuts and pretzel bits. That did the trick. We decided to then walk out on the strip a little bit, not much has changed since February other than the temperature so we headed back into Aria and played some more. This session we almost recovered all prior losses before having to head up to get ready for Picasso.

We walked over to Bellagio for dinner and things there were busy as usual. We both got the 5 course meal and we're blown away. I had the sea bass, she had the lamb. All courses built upon each other very well, we both decided that foie bras is not really our thing, nut the lobster salad, scallops, our main and desserts were all superb. By this time it was getting close to midnight eastern and we were both getting tired. I walked her back to the room and decided one more session was in order. I played for about an hour and cashed in exactly what I bought in for.

Got up got a nice workout in and grabbed a coffee. Now it's time to get ready for brunch at Bardot. Until next time. . .

Why did you pay for a limo when you have a free one through the tower suites?

Nice. I'm heading out to Vegas tonight

How's Aria? Is it super packed? Any $25 Baccarat tables open?

Hope you have a good trip and good fortunes!

Corner suites don't get limo service.

Things aren't as packed as I would have expected.

A day and a half of gambling in and my bankroll is exactly where it was when I got into town. Hopefully I can grow it tonight.
