Pre-Trip Snapchat Idea

"The Meadows...."


My annual summer trip to the promised land, Las Vegas. Every summer I take a week-long trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. Every summer I wind up “home.” (Cue Motley Crue) The last few years I have had a live trip report going. I wish I had kept a live trip report my first 3-4 years. I didn’t know about VMB then. If I had….they would have been in the top 5 best trip reports of all time.


This year I will be in Las Vegas from June 6-13 staying at Main Street Station, The D, Bally’s, and Flamingo.


Anyway….I want to try something new this year. I want to supplement my trip report with a Snapchat account specifically created for the Vegas trip.


I’m sure most of you do not have the Snapchat app on your phone. I didn’t either until a few weeks ago. I have never used the app, but I downloaded specifically to use during my Vegas trip. There is so much I can’t capture with words like some of you are able to do during a trip report. I am not as good with my words as some others. Therefore, I would like to try using Snapchat to send some pictures/videos of our trip to the meadows.


I want to let people know what the Snapchat account is to follow a solid week ahead. If you have Snapchat, go ahead and follow me. If you don’t have Snapchat, you can easily download it and create an account. (You can also use fake information. I didn’t use my real name, instead used my Vegas name, Earl.)


You can add me with the username “EarlOfVegas” and if I get 10+ users to add me, I will supplement my Trip Report with the app. Otherwise I will not use it at all, and do all my reporting through the message board. I will still use the message board for the TR a lot.


Some things to normally expect during my Trip Reports: Drunk shenanigans is #1, Chip Porn, Video Poker hands, Craps sessions, occasional blackjack sessions, drunk shenanigans, the latest betting odds on if Wade will get laid, low-roller gambling fun, and a lot of really drunk gambling sessions.


I will see how this goes, and work from there. Hopefully I can start a new trend to the Trip Reports, as I would love to see other people add some videos instantly to Snapchat app. Cheers everyone!

Nice, I'll add. I have a pair of Snapchat Spectacles and I can't wait to use them on my next trip. They're pretty fun.

 

Only a couple of adds so far. I figure if I don't get to 10 I will probably just say to hell with it. Maybe I do get 10+ though.

What the hell... I'll give it a shot. My 10 year old has been begging me to get an account anyways. I'm there June 3-9 (Paris first 2 nights, Palazzo remaining 4 nights).

Excellent! Looks like I will be using the Snapchat feature this week after all. Just gotta figure out how to use the damn thing first.

Might just have to post some pre-trip stuff soon. Tomorrow starts my pre-Vegas vacation on Hilton Head Island in SC. I'll should have plenty of drunk shenanigans going on this week!

 

I have the Snapchat app on my phone. Sadly I have not been able to decipher it yet, but my 10 year old grandson has- ain't that a shame. But I will try again!!
