Hello: Been going to Vegas for years used to stay strip, and have been staying downtown last 10 years or so. This trip looking at strip and downtown. Downtown fully comped, limo, suite, etc. Some questions: on Mirage site I see no info on hosts and from posts it appears they assign host after play is this correct so am I better off booking room via website or trying to contact a host? Any feedback on 1 br tower suites? They look great. How do I avoid being on the volcano side? Any other comments appreciated. Thanks

I stayed in the 1 BR tower suite in 2015 and it was very nice - definitely left a good impression of the Mirage. I would recommend booking through the site, and then contacting a host once you arrive (they can point you towards the hosts from the MLife desk or even the hotel front desk) to see what arrangements can be made. They will probably monitor your MLife play and use that to pull some of the cost off when you check out. But then you will have contact info for the next time you want to go, and they'll have a record of your play to base comps on up front.

We spent the last 11 of the last twelve years in the 1 BR Tower Suite at the Mirage and loved it. Got a limo to/from and comps on the room.

You'll just have to request a room that does not overlook the volcano when you check in. They can't guarantee it over the phone.

As far as a host goes, I would call casino marketing and ask to speak to a host. Explain your situation and your history and at least get on somebody's radar.

We did that at the Wynn last year and it worked.

I agree with TRN, you may even want to give the player's club a call just to touch base before you arrive. Best of luck and have fun!!!

Google "MGM host" and literally the first link is to MGM grands page where you can email many different host. I would assume host at MGM Grand can set up rooms at the Mirage as well.
