Has Anyone Tried the Sterling Brunch at Ballys?

Hey guys I recently saw a video on YouTube on the Sterling Brunch at Ballys. Apparently they are only open on 1 day out of the week(Sundays). I believe the price is $92 dollars per person but they serve unlimited lobster tails,caviar, bone marrow,lamb chops, and other stuff.. My question is the food worth the hefty price tag? I want to try it because... why not. But before I do I wanted some opinions. Thanks!

 

Did you try doing a search on Sterling Brunch? There are several reviews by VMBers in this forum. I have not partaken myself but will do so in August.

 

I ate there April 30th and it was fantastic as usual.
I have eaten there several times and never been disappointed, but
then again - I am a lobster maniac.

I had several (not telling how many) lobster tails, some lovely
grilled asparagus, Caesar salad, a small piece of the filet, a small
piece of prime rib to taste, a bite of their wonderful bread and
some bites of several of the desserts. We split things up some
so we could taste a bunch of items. I saved my main appetite
for the lobster. So on our table - lobster, crab, filet, prime rib,
asparagus, salad, gruyere cheese bread, desserts galore,
champagne galore.

My friend said he liked the filet the best - said it was the most
tender piece of steak ever. His girlfriend loved the crab.

The service was prompt and courteous, the champagne was flowing non-stop,
and the food was great. Took our time, chatted, and kept going back for more.
Wonderful!

I do advise you to make reservations if you plan on going and want a table.
Sometimes you can sit at the bar - but it fills up fast. To get a table - a reservation
is usually needed. We reserved ours over a month out.

I've been quite a few times. Last trip we went and It was horrible (march 2017). That Sunday had an inspector there and kept pulling food for being under temperature. We were there for over an hour and most of the time was waiting for food. Food was put out to only be pulled for being served under temp. There was absolutely no hot food out for most the hour.

I would up filling up on berries and gave up on waiting for lobster. used To be a favorite but never again. Yes, I complained but just got a "we are sorry, we are working on getting food out"

Thank you for your replies. I will try searching the forums for additional info. When you guys were there last month or in March. Did you see any bone marrow and caviar?

We was there on mothers day. Champagne was flowing never a dry glass, to me some of my 4 lobster tails was tough, the filet was great, crab was tasty caviar well I can say I am not a fan or it was bad caviar, I always wanted to try it so we did. Will I ever go back, hard to say leaning towards been there done that a few weeks later, in a month from now who knows..........

 

Lobster benedict and stake benedict were really good. If you are going, I suggest you try these. These are only items that you need to ask for your server.

 

Yep and unfortunately the lobster had an ammonia taste, which is a sign of spoilage...everything else was fantastic. With that being said I am going back again to give it another chance in September.

 

We've been several times and unfortunately the quality has slipped over the years. Our last visit was on Easter with the thought that they would really ramp-up the experience, but the opposite was true. The champagne was warm, the lobster was tough, the lamb was very fatty and the server was much too loud.

I didn't think I'd ever come to this point, but we'll be looking for other Sunday brunches from here on out.
