Hello...I was wondering if they have quarter VP at the Chandelier Bar? As well, I would like to try a
Verbena (is that right). What is the minimum play to get that comped?
    Thank you

Yes, they have quarter VP. Technically the rules to get your first comped drink are that you need to put in a minimum of $20 and have to bet at least $1 a play. But in VP, you really want to bet max quarters instead a dollar. Betting 5 is a much better choice than 4 for the Royal Flush bonus ($1000 vs. $250). If you really insisted on betting only a dollar on VP, I would bet 1 credit at the dollar level instead (better paytables). After your first drink, you'll need to wait a minimum of ~15 to 20 minutes PLUS put ~$120 coin-in (about 100 max bet quarter hands) through the machine for it to "spit out" another drink ticket for you. If you don't play fast enough, it will take longer.

And I'm not sure if this is still the case, but I've heard that they will only comp the Verbena on level 1 if level 1.5 is closed (i.e. til 6pm).

Thank you. Yes, I would play max on quarters for sure. Thanks for the tip on level one. I have not been to the chandelier bar yet. So I will have to hunt for it.

What other "need to try drinks" can we get comped at this bar?

Last year we sat at the Chandelier bar and the bartender said he could comp any drink off the menu, which were all about fifteen dollars or so. All very fru-fru with multiple liquors and cocktail shakers. Felt I should up my tipping game but he kept them coming as long as the drink tickets were printing. The Verbena might not be on the menu, I thought it was one of their well-known secrets.

I believe it's only on the menu for level 1.5 of the bar and, like Tring said above, only available at the VP bar when level 1.5 isn't open.

IMG_0032.JPG I guess level 1.5 doesn't have video poker, which means I don't need that bar. Here is a menu pic from the casino level; I think the bartender told us that any of the specialty sixteen dollar drinks or any other drink valued at fifteen dollars or less would be comped with a voucher. I spot the typo of 'Know Creek' for Knob Creek Bourbon in the pic, I must not have made it that far at the bar.

The Verbena isn't on the menu on any of the levels. My impression was that you could get it at any of them, but I have to say the only time I ordered one was on 1.5

HAAA I love your statement "I guess level 1.5 doesn't have video poker, which means I don't need that bar". I completely agree!

I really like playing at Chandelier Bar. I asked the barkeeper (Brandi) for something "fruity and rum boozy". She made me her version of a mai tai and they were great.

Sure the paytables aren't great, but for great drinks in a nice atmosphere; it is worth a few extra dollars an hour in expected losses. Playing steadily on medium speed, I averaged a ticket about every 20 minutes or so. I left the bar $200 lighter (didn't hit much of anything), but with a mighty pleasant buzz.

The Cosmo seems to be more than fair to VP players. Play the games as you should and tip as you should. We have an obligation to not screw things up for other players following

Can you explain this statement? I really don't have any obligation to any other player

I'm guessing "the rules" was cut off. But I agree with you. You have no obligation to play a certain way. Their system will determine how they handle comp drinks. Play the way you want.
