Dragged my butt out of bed this morning to go finish up convention stuff. Back at Westgate now, finally feel like eating (wasn't feeling well at all earlier). Think I'll try the buffet out, then time to go shopping for stuff to bring back. Did a bankroll count. After all that action since Sunday... I'm down exactly 10. Bucks. Ten Bucks. How that is even remotely possible I don't know.

That's just odd, Westgate buffet evidently does not serve lunch.

Trivia moment: The monofail operates at 750VDC.[IMG]

It depends on the day, and how busy the hotel is, which is ridiculous, because you can never depend on it for a meal. Sometimes it's closed for breakfast and lunch. So, check ahead if you are planning to eat there in the AM tomorrow.

Got most of my shopping finished, just need to visit the Coach store now. Realized that I was feeling shaky during the long walk from the Bally's monofail station to Bellagio shops and back, probably because I haven't actually managed to eat yet today. Nosh at Bally's struck me as a good idea, got a Chicago dog here. Turns out this is a very hot dog heavy trip for no obvious reason...[IMG]

Thanks, atom! It was like the royal you described when we were at MSS... No bells, no whistles, no fanfare, no feeding frenzy of helpful slot attendants like the $1 I took at Circus produced. Just a little paper ticket with an unusually inflated value. My bartender was very congratulatory, which was nice.

Thanks! So far, I haven't managed to win or lose much of anything... I'll probably take it easy tonight and try to come home a mild winner.

Thanks! It's always nice to get this craps table-esque virtual VMB cheer when posting wins. :)

Bally's tennis courts, not a common sight these days... View from the Bally's monofail station, on what is probably my last monofail trip of the week. Looks like I would have been ok on a 4day pass (bought 5), but I didn't want to have it fail on some random last minute trip. I suppose I'll gift it to someone at the Westgate kiosk area who isn't grabby and weird.[IMG]

And... I'm off to the Coach store. Got back to Westgate, came up to charge the phone and take a short nap. I could have just stayed in bed, but I've got stuff to do, and I'm not about to stay in my last night in town. Take it kinda easy, yes. Spend it in the room.? No way.

I'm very disappointed in the compete and utter lack of Elvis themed souvenirs in Westgate. Sure, they aren't hosting the Graceland exhibit any more, but you'd think that as much of a major theme as he is here, they'd have a selection of stuff to buy... Nope.

I'm in the concierge lounge again, having a heavy snack/light dinner of swedish meatballs (I'm just assuming that they're Swedish, they didn't come with passports so I can't be real sure), fried Asian whatzits, cheese, and crackers. That's one of the drawbacks of doing a trip like this solo... Being a business trip, a $100+ dinner wouldn't be a problem at all, or cost me anything. But I always seem to end up either here, at a hot dog place, or not eating at all. Perhaps I just need to learn to do dining alone well. I have no trouble doing travel, gambling, business, and drinking alone but I have yet to master dining alone and enjoying it. So I just come here to talk about it while eating. :)

Soon, off to Coach. Maybe somewhere else also to look for Elvis stuff.

Holy crap it's windy and feels cold here. Car says it's 70 outside, but feels colder than that. Glad I brought a jacket.

In case anyone has been wondering if the prices at the Coach outlet are really marked down, let me assure you. They really are.[IMG]
