We're heading to Vegas next week. I've been checking the TR website regularly for a drop in prices. We currently have a reservation for a Caesars Palace Augustus Strip View Room for 3 nights. I can get a NOBU Deluxe Room for $117 less. Thoughts? Perks or drawbacks of staying at Nobu vs Caesars? TIA.
The Nobu rooms are: 1)Tiny (in comparison to Augustus) 2)located in the center of the casino, quite a walk from all entrances 3)It does have a room service menu that is "specific to the hotel" (i.e. dishes not served in the restaurant) IMHO, if you want a "glimpse" of luxury, it's not a bad stay, but I wouldn't choose it over an Augustus Tower room, just for the size and convenience. Maybe if I wanted to impress my traveling companion . . . .
Ad Dailun noted, Nobu rooms are much smaller, although they have some nice features. The bathroom is large, with a superior shower area. Nobu rooms are more conveniently located with respect to the Strip and the casino. When the Octavius Tower was newer, I had a slight preference for it over Nobu. Now that Augustus has been renovated, I've chosen it over Nobu for my next stay.

Nobu rooms are small and have a Japanese theme. The Nobu tower is treated as a boutique hotel within Caesars. There's nothing inherently "better" about the rooms vs Augustus. I'd say it actually could have the best overall location as far as getting to any point in the actual casino, because it is smack dab in the middle of the Caesars footprint. Nobu views are not good unless you're on one of the higher floors. If you want space and a view, I'd stick with Augustus, you're not likely to have any potential regrets with the Augustus room. If you want to try something different, go with Nobu.
The main reason for my choosing Augustus Tower as opposed to the Nobu Tower 1)Price - I am comped for all rooms at Caesars, but as I've pointed out before, Caesars "priced me out" of their property when I travel solo The difference between the Nobu Tower and any other room at CP is a "lot" of food or backend comps. 2)Location - if you are a "camper", Nobu is centrally located. If you are a "butterfly", it's a long walk to any of the valet parking, or exits from the casino for that matter 3)Augustus is located close to a)Diamond/7* check-in, and b)Flamingo Rd. 7* valet If none of those things matter to you, then Nobu is that place you may want to try "once".
Sorry to sidetrack, but is Augustus the tower along Flamingo with the direct views of the Fountains? Assuming yes, if I see a "Strip View" room in Augustus, does that imply I see fountains or face the other direction? Or can you not tell by the name alone?
The Flamingo side of Augustus does have a good strip view. If you're on one of the lowest 4 or 5 floors though, you can only see the top half of the fountain spray when they're going off.
