The crispy bread with tomatoes are fucking great. We had some dish last December with mussels that was really good. The meats and cheeses are always good and they are known for some outstanding gin & tonics. I love the vibe and people watching at Jaleo!

    GREAT CALL ON JALEO!

This was a very reasonable 115 before tax and tip. I was going to have in n out before that guy's craps roll! [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

There's a third shrimp hiding behind the other two. I called that dish 'paella de camarones fucking gigante'. The 'plaza mayor' Manhattan-like drink (rye with Spanish port and Benedictine!) was a highlight. I forgot what the dessert was called because I just pointed at someone else and said 'I want that!'. Thanks for the recommendation and I will recommend to everyone else as well.

On my second American Gothic now, what a fucking cocktail. This beats out pretty much anything from Velveteen Rabbit or my trip report on Chandelier Bar from 4 years ago. Might be my favorite cocktail ever. Bourbon, spicy, sweet, smooth. [IMG]

I'm glad my suggestion turned out well! Your drinking adventures looked great. While the fancy cocktails can be expensive, one of the upsides is that your chances of a brutal hangover are greatly reduced with the high quality booze.

Thanks for the great trip report. I loved it!
