    These are some things that I take when traveling (just in case);

    -sewing needle and thread
-passport, just in case I lose my DL
    -aspirin, Tylenol, Benadryl, antacids, etc.
-$1 bills for tips (stack of $100 or $200)
-electrical extension cord to use in the rooms.
-I never bring an alarm clock since the iPhone has an alarm
    -extra sunglasses
    -envelopes with stamps
-pen and paper in rental car in case of accident
    -small scissors

Curious to see what others bring, it might give me some ideas for future travel.

Edit to add: I know someone will question why I bring pen & paper in rental car in case of an accident but what if my iPhone battery dies and I can't take a picture of the other person's DL/insurance, that's why.

Some of what you bring... way less these days since Walgreens are on every corner.

Pen and Paper - nope. If you have an accident, just take an iphone picture of the other persons stuff. My phone is never gonna die (oops - never say never) Really.. that is too many bad things to happen. Then again, we never bother to rent a car anymore.

Scissors - nope - we only do carry on.

Extension cord is good... we have CPAP.

Oh yea... we have one of those single serve coffee pots like some hotels.. not a k-cup.
Multiple credit cards, just in case.
We use our phone for nightlight if needed.
Snacks... there is so much food in Vegas, but nothing when you wake up early and have the munchies. Also good backup for the plane ride.

If I drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, I bring a 750 ml plastic bottle of Smirnoff, 12 pack Heineken cans, and bottled waters (1/2 a case), all in my suitcase. I guess I could also buy those things at Smith's or Albertson's in Las Vegas but one less stop to make.

Have a small zippered case, maybe half the size of half a gallon of milk carton. Have a deck of cards, band-aids, wine opener, chap stick, plastic fork, knife and spoon and stuff like that. It's full and it's just thrown in a suitcase whenever I go somewhere. A little need/forgot kit so to speak.

Usually bring a bar of good soap, I don't like the small complementary bars the hotel provides.

    • Bath salts
    • Wine (I like to have something I know I like, without paying an arm and a leg)
    • Snacks
    • "Decent" Instant coffee (still have yet to use it, but just in case)
    • Old room keys in case we get brave and try finally slipping into another pool. Loved the lazy river pool at MC and kept wanting to scoot over there from Aria....but that ship has sailed before we got the courage to try those shenanigans :(. We LOVE the rooms at the nicer hotels, but the pools just don't cut it for us. Its either a bit boring, or TOO crazy (Day clubs). I just want my lazy river with lots of foilage!

I just bring what Hunter brings to Vegas.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.
Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.”

Lots of ziplock bags in several sizes. Great for ice, left overs, keeping things dry

Peanut Butter or Nutella in individual packs (love single serving everything) and flatbread buns. I have that to eat before heading to the casino so I can start drinking before breakfast since I'm on Easten time and usually down early.

I sometimes bring a screw top wine like Mieomi Pinot for that wind down glass at night. It's stupid but my parents sent me to charm school in the 60's and they taught us not to walk with beverages, especially alcohol. It's so odd how things stick in your head. I may go from one machine to another with a drink but never take one from table to table and never leave the casino floor with a drink. I also hold my pinkie out when I drink. I mean everything. I look like a dork but I can't stop it at this point.

One of the zippered compartments in my suitcase always holds some of those glow sticks for emergency lighting. I wonder if they have an expiration date.
