Other than the occasional breakfast, I usually just do beer and junk food when I am in Vegas. Going to be in Mecca for 6 days next week. Have done Secret Pizza, Pin Up Pizza, 800 Degrees and Pizza Rock. Other pizza places I should try? Going to try to hit up In and Out and Shake Shack this trip? Any other burgers you recommend?

    Pizza - Grimaldi's at Palazzo
Burgers - Holstein's at Cosmo(big enough to share) and try the poutine. Fat Burger

We really liked Shake Shack - cheap and good - expect lines. If you are mlife platinum, go inside beyond the regular line, to a separate line next to a pillar (I think it says mlife), flash your platinum card and they wave you to the ordering line.

Holstein's in cosmo has the best burger I've ever had. It's about $18, but it's huge, delicious, and often is the only meal I have that day. (And comes with GOOD fries.)

    I've tried the fun-ghi (truffle/mushroom)
    Gold standard
    Steakhouse
El Caliente. (It's the one on the left in my picture. The right is the steakhouse---one of my absolute favorites)

A good burger is usually messy, but sometimes "condiment messy". This is a messy due to juicy burger goodness! And the bun holds up surprisingly well, and it's not that "sweet bun" trend that bugs me. It's just truly meaty burger goodness....juices and all!

Steakhouse and fun-ghi are my top.

The downside? It's pretty much ruined any burger I've had since ;)

On a less expensive note, I also enjoyed Bobby's Burger Palace.

P.S here's a link to vote for the best "over-the-top" burger in Nevada.

For pizza, my favorite place is Five50 at Aria. They have a solid lunch deal where you get an app. (soup or salad usually) and a personal pizza for $18.

My top 3 places for burgers in Vegas is Burger Bar (MB) Holstein's (Cosmo), and Umami (SLS).

Looks like Holsteins and 550 are good choices since I'll be staying in that area.

Yeah I would put Five50 in the "good" category, a notch above Secret Pizza, which I'd say is "OK".

Holstein's is solid, but if you want to keep it under $10, In-N-Out will get the job done. I've never done Shake Shack in Vegas cause the lines are always too long.

I'll add Booby's Burger Palace as a place for a good cheaper burger. It's out in front of Mandarin Oriental right on the strip. Might be a little bit more than $10 for a burger.

Try Wahlburgers at the Bally's outdoor complex. I've never been there but always wanted to.

I've had Eggslut here in Los Angeles....do not like at all...but to each their own.

Just left there. Walburgers and shackshack are excellent. First time at both but not the last.
550 pizza always the best. Above even secret pizza.

Five50 over Secret, but that being said we were disappointed on our trip a couple of weeks ago. Had some great burgers at Wolfgang's Pub at MGM.

Try the new Giordano's in front of Bally's for Chicago style pizza and Burger Brasserie in the hallway between Paris and Bally's for a good burger (but usually poor service).
