CET May tier credit bonus

I got an email yesterday from Total Rewards that says if I earn 3500 TC during May, I'll receive a 500 TC bonus. My friend got the same email, but his says he only needs 1400 TC to get the 500 bonus. Any ideas why? Thanks for the help!

 

Mine is 1200 to get an additional 500. I figured it was because I'm almost 1400 points away from Platinum and it's an enticement to get me to play for it.

 

Unfortunately, mine is 5k points for a 500 bonus.

I got the earn 2000 get 500 offer but the wife got earn 250 get 500. Works out good for me getting a bonus 500 points on my trip this month.

We have received nothing either, probably have too many points. Just hope there is a good 3rd quarter promotion.

 

Doesn't seem to have a pattern. Mine is 2000 TC's to get extra 500. I got 4400 TC's last trip with the Quest for Rewards. I'm still gold but going for Diamond in 3 days.

 

Nothing for me, I'm at 6900 tier credits so far this year.

Book my 7* trip for Las Vegas or Lake Tahoe this month (May) and get 5,000 TC. Sounds good, right???

Except that I live on the West Coast and airfare is cheap to Las Vegas, and even cheaper to Tahoe. So that would totally be a waste of $1200 worth of airfare.

Plus, how can you spend $500 on food at Tahoe???

I wonder what the criteria is for the threshold. Over on Twitter, Darryl (from Seven Stars Insider) told me one of his friends got 7000 for 500. That's ridiculous. I got 400 for 500. There's zero incentive for anyone over 2500 for 500 to go out of their way to play for it, even over a month. If anything, you'd concentrate your play to get 2500 in a day to get that bonus.

 

I got 2500 for 500, husband got 1300 for 500. We are going at the end of the month so this one is a no brainer.
