Curious if it's possible to get some comp refunds simply for spending a lot at one place. Not gambling but other room charges. Say you build up a hefty Bill from food and beverage. Would they consider knocking some off just because you spent so much non gambling at their proprty?

Some slot clubs will track your non gambling spending for the sake of earning points... but the easy answer is "No"

The "problem" is the definition of "spending a lot" - where to the average person spending $100 at the bar and then another $100 at a restaurant is a lot, most of the casinos have restaurants where you can easily spend a couple of hundred per person on dinner, buy a bottle of wine for a few hundred or a thousand dollars and then go to the night club and be paying 500-1000% mark up on bottle service.

On top of that, the two (spending in the casino vs spending elsewhere) are quite different where there are a lot of different costs in running a restaurant and serving you the food versus the costs of a slot machine, which are going to be negligible.

But one thing with Las Vegas: you can always ask. Just remember to always show your slot card when you can and charge everything to the room (it has to be charged to the room for them to be able to comp it).

Then, *BEFORE* you check out go to the slot club desk and show them your card and ask if

For a long time, the casinos only included those things on their property to get folks there to gamble and keep them playing longer, so under that business model, no.

The formula has changed lately so that gaming makes up less of a property's profit than it used to, but I've never heard of a hotel knocking off part of the bill because you overly imbibed in their non-gambling offerings.

But then again, it never hurts to ask. Let us know if you have any positive results.

    no.
The question is which one gives you comp. each department is independent.
You spent lots of money on dinning, the casino department got nothing. They certainly won't give you a dime.

The one and only reason they give comps/rebate is because they hope to get your money through gambling.

The restaurants are just like any other big city restaurant. The only thing you MIGHT get if you spend alot is an automatic gratuity added - LOL!

Are there any other restaurants or hotels that give rebates/comps in the country?

Landry's and Open Table affiliates are the closest I'm aware of, but no one is knocking off anything because you spent X dollars there. However, with both programs you can at least get $25 or so off of a future visit. Plus, with Landry's you can use your comp dollars from Golden Nugget there, which is pretty decent.
