Hi everyone. I have always stayed at CET properties. I am a low-roller due to only getting to Vegas once or twice a year. I remember seeing some posts in the past about a host from Cosmo on here to look into making a competitive offer to stay at Cosmo compared to CET or MGM. Does anyone have any insight to this? I am going in July and comped 5 days as usual at the CET properties and I am interested in exploring the Cosmo. Thanks in advance.
Kevin, the Cosmo host, was matching offers, but it may have been to comparable rates/rooms. Definitely worth a shot, but if you are trying to match an offer from Harrahs 1:1 with the Cosmo I'm not sure if it would translate as nicely. Would be nice to know where you are comped, but in any case I would ask away!
I am comped at all CET locations. I say I am a low roller because I have not contributed much this year. On my 5 day trip in July my bankroll will be $5000-$6000. Last year I was comped the Augustus Towers at Ceasars but I donated a good amount. I haven't had the opportunity to donate much this year. The wife plays VP and slots. I will play VP/Slots and table games. My room offers this time around are basic. I recently reserved 5 nights at the valley tower at Harrahs. I want to try other places but when a nice room is comped it is hard to say no and pay for a room for somewhere else.
I doubt the Cosmo is going to match 5 free nights based on the CET rate calendar. By offer, it usually means 3 nights comped with free play and resort credit. My advice, stay at CET property but visit the Cosmo and give them some decent play. I'm sure you'll receive an offer from them after doing so.
I don't think Cosmo still doing the offer matching. Agree with what DJ Ran said, give Cosmo some play, you will start receiving offers.
Your per day bankroll is plenty enough to get offers from Cosmo going forward, but I'm not sure if they are still aggressively soliciting people for matching anymore. If not, I'd agree with DJ Ran and just seed Cosmo with some minimal slot/VP play (like the equivalent of $1,000 coin in on slots) on your next trip.
My old host at Cosmo (He no loner works there) had no issue comping me 3 nights with a fountain view (one weekend night) when I told him I was bringing 6k for the trip. They seemed generous to me but then again he doesn't work there anymore so who knows lol.
Don't mistake less trips for "low roller". You later said 5k -6k bankroll for 5 nights....that's 1k+ per day bankroll, not coin-in, coin in would be higher. Like Chuck said, that should be more than enough to generate good offers with Cosmo once you establish a baseline with them) unless you are hemoraging bankroll and getting 2-3k coin-I'm on 1k daily bank roll. Unless you had your fanny handed to you on slots...you should be getting some solid offers coin in...if you used your card of course!
Our offer's AND treatment at Cosmo has been leaps and bounds better than CET (and we're diamond!) We've been bringing $800 per day bankroll and have managed to hit a few handpays to allow us to put in between $15k-$30k coin-in per day on a mix of slots/vp, and our host had no issues comping us a Terrace Suite for a weekend in June. (also have been getting between $150-$300 freeplay)
FYI Cosmo comps on Theo and actual loss, whichever one is higher. I have always like them because my very first trip to Vegas I was staying at Sam's Town and very disappointed with the room, bumped into a Cosmo host entirely by accident while looking for the buffet, he offered me a fountain view room for 2 nights when I let him know I was Emerald. I thought that was very kind, he didn't know me from Adam but was willing to take a chance. The real funny thing was that we were not dressed at all like the regular crowd the Cosmo tends to attract...it was shorts, untucked t shirt and sneakers. No judgement from them at all, which I actually found a bit surprising when his job was to guess if we had enough money to warrant a comp.
Does the Comso do 5 day comps? There is two main reasons I stay with Total Rewards. 1) I usually go to Vegas for 4-5 nights. MGM usually only comps 3 nights from what I understand 2) I often only go once a year so I keep my diamond status when I don't go back for 12 months. I usually bring close to 10K for my 5 day trips (but I have to admit If I get down to 4K I slow WAY down).. so I am really usually prepared to loose 6k without a thought. The only other reason I like Total Rewards is because it has a casino in Canada
The longest marketing offer I've ever received (or seen mentioned) was 4 nights. That said, once you've stayed there, you probably could get a host to comp additional night(s) onto a marketing offer if your play is sufficient. Also, with the bankroll you mentioned, if you are a machine player (or a table player playing at a reasonable per bet average for your bankroll), you would surely reach the Sterling tier level, which has as a benefit one additional comp night per year. I'd expect with that bankroll you would easily get a 4 night marketing offer to which you could add on your Sterling tier night to make 5 nights.
