    All,

We are booking a trip in June and are heavily leaning towards Vdara. I normally stay at Aria but my wife has stayed at Vdara and really likes the vibe of the hotel and the pool, Death Ray and all.

I have an assigned host (well, "casino marketing executive") at Aria. I called VIP services yesterday and it appears I can get the same offer at either property of all three nights comped plus $100 F&B credit. I sent an email to my host to confirm and set up the reservation.

I do have a couple of questions ...
    • Will it matter to my Aria host whether I stay at Aria or Vdara?
    • How will this impact future offers at Aria?
I know there are a few Aria/Vdara experts out there (Nittany1? JosieCat?) who may be able to help answer my questions.

Based on previous posts here I know that any back-end comps at Vdara would come from the Aria hosts and, I assume, would be based on Aria play only. I am planning on most/all of my Mlife gaming at Aria anyway so this should not be an issue.

    Thanks!

All Aria or the Aria host cares about is how much you play at Aria. They'd be perfectly happy if you stayed at Motel 6 as long as you play the same.

Aria and Vdara are considered sister properties. For all intents and purposes, staying at Vdara and playing at Aria is the same as staying at Aria. You're correct that you'd want to do most of your play at Aria for back-end comps.

As @Chuck2009x said..they are sisters hotel; last year when I stayed Aria and when I inquired about staying Vadra my host told me it's same pretty much staying at Aria;actually Vadra comes out less. For your future comps, it will depend on your play when you are there... are you using their property specific offers or corp offers? If you got 3 nights fully comped I'm sure you are consistent player and if you play same as before I'm sure it will continue on. Mine is same as well 3 nights comped.. even tho I'm looking for 3 nights at Aria skysuites!!!

Drewm1972 - thanks! My host did reply and said that they cannot apply promos for a stay at Vdara but theycould comp my stay up front. FWIW my corporate and Aria specific offers still appear when I log into Mlife.

My play really puts me on the fringes of Aria offers... usually just two nights and maybe $100 resort credit. Sky Suites are out of my league :D.

So they won't give you the Freeplay and Resort Credit if you stay at Vdara? Did VIP Services imply that they would? Just curious. I stopped getting property-specific offers from Aria after I hadn't played there for a year, but now that I think of it, I don't recall ever getting offers specific to Vdara, and the Aria offers never said anything about staying at Vdara as an option.

Does anyone know if Vdara stays count for the purposes of redeeming MyVegas Freeplay rewards at Aria? I've asked elsewhere, but nobody seems to know the answer and this thread is close enough that it seems worth a shot.

AFAIK, Aria is Aria, and Vdara is Vdara. You cannot use a comp at Aria for a stay at Vdara. They have a section for Vdara comps.

As DaiLun said, comp offers at one do not apply to the other on MyVegas.
Chuck called it on your host looking at your play.
If you look at the value of the room or price, that will be what your host is looking at vs.how much you play.

I have stayed at the Penthouse and Corner in Vdara and really did like the rooms.Convenient walk to the three hotels that surround it.
Personally I like the convenience of walking of the elevator and being in the casino but the walk across the road between Aria and VDara is nothing.

Last time at VDara they closed the pool because it was so windy and they were letting everyone use Aria pool but that was an exception.
My wife is a pool junkie and she really likes the pools at Aria.So when she is along for the ride in pool season we will be there.

I do not really play much slots or VP so I typically do not get any Freeplay. To be clear, what I understood from my host is that any promos for Aria could not be applied to Vdara. I apparently have a history of enough play at Aria for her to comp my 3-day stay upfront at Vdara with the $100 resort credit towards Vdara and/or Aria. (My original Aria-specific offers were for two days and $100 resort credit.)

Overall I am very happy and looking forward to my trip!
