Monte Carlo Poker Room Closed

Received this information from the board's MGM Resorts contact.

She did not specify if/when the poker room would reopen.

 

Played a tourney there about an hour after the super bowl,, remember a old school vibe with friendly dealers and staff and made plans to return every trip as i loved the place...hopefully the replacement (if they build one) will be as nice

 

The rumors I have heard is that the room will not return

 

I went to the floor last week to cash out my comps. Most employees have found other opportunities and the floor said, no not re opening

 

I get it was "mom and pop" fun but never had much luck getting any kind of action game going here. Every time I played here it was a bunch of old rocks/regulars who fold every hand unless they get AA. While I know some people have had a lot of fun in here, all my memories of this place were pretty uneventful (and boring). Sorry to be that guy

 

Yes TRN it very well may have been that way but we were hammered and looking for a cheap tourney to kick back with a few beers and play 3/6 afterwards in a low stress environment....
