For my upcoming trip in about a month and a half, where I will play in WSOP Millionaire Maker and a few other series/tournaments, what kind of TR would you most prefer to see?
    • Option 1... Standard TR (thinking along the lines of most of them in the TR board here) with one or two giant posts after I get home, with focus equally divided between travel, hotel, food, and cards
    • Option 2... A daily update each night, with photos and highlights of the day, with emphasis on poker pics/stories, but a little of everything else (travel, hotel, food, etc.) sprinkled in too
    • Option 3... Live updates exclusively updating on poker tournament/hands played/etc - maybe 2-to-10 per day, whenever something interesting happens - nothing else but the poker
Whatever we decide here, I know there will be a lot of good new "How Would You Play It" threads coming out of this trip!

Sir, your posts have got me interested again in this board. Anything you post would be so appreciated!

That said, I have a slight preference for Door # 2: daily updates. But wouldn't you be tired after finishing each day and need rest to make it to the final table the following/subsequent days? :)

Second what booker says..The VMB can wait if it's more important to relax at night and be 100% the following day.
Would enjoy a short update of your status though..:poker:

I seem to need to get online for a little bit to help decompress and unwind at the end of the days, so I don't think it will impact the night/sleep I need, but if it does then sure I would wait til morning or figure it out. I think #2 would be easier to pull off than #3... but am open to try anything! I remember when I played the main event, I couldn't turn the brain off at night, I was replaying every hand, every decision, etc. I have some doc-prescribed sleep assistance now I can use and will zonk out in no time, if needed.

#3. Specific hands and how they were played would be great

Have been enjoying the hand play posts.
    I would like either #2 or #3.
I think you might find yourself distracted if you try #3 which might lead to less than your best poker result (but great posts for us!).

I personally prefer a daily update. Like you mentioned it's a good way to unwind and get the days thoughts down on paper. Do you note take whilst playing poker? Can sometimes be difficult to remember specific hands after a long day.
Also try to include as many photos as possible. I'll actually be in LV this June whilst the WSOP is on but for many this will be the closest thing they get to the being there.

    Enjoy the trip :)

A combination of 1-3 and which ever way the poker trip leads you. Do what keeps you primed

A combo of 2 and 3. Live wsop updates might be asking too much, but if you have the energy and a moment to spare that would be fun.

I wouldn't worry about doing live updates, as that will 100% detract from your focus when playing.

Do whatever you feel like doing, and I know we'll all be grateful of following vicariously.

Will help my last few working weeks pass by, I know that :)

Yeah I always take notes of interesting hands during the game, usually to review with my poker buddies and get their opinions (or post a 'how would you play it?' thread here). I have a good crew to keep me grounded with reality checks about my far-out play sometimes. Including a walking talking calculator, one of those guys who can spit out the %'s and EV calcs without blinking an eye, faster than my app on my phone.

Sounds like #2 will be the best balance of poker, variety, timely updates, and my sanity. Will shoot for something along those lines.

I lean towards #2, with frequent updates that include a lot of pictures. I am not really interested in a lot of "how should I play this particular hand?" posts (there is another well known board for that :D) but notable results from the tourneys would be great.
