I remember a restaurant that used to have huge lobsters that I believe was on the strip. I once had a business dinner there and it was great. It must be long gone, anyone remember the name of the place? There used to be posters of a waiter holding one of these big boys all over but I have not seen an advertisement in many years. Might have been at the current Smith and Wollensky restaurant location.

Originally it was called Ye Old Lobster House.
It was where the Venetian is now. Next to where the old Tam O Shanter was, if anyone remembers that.
The bldg. burned down and they moved down near MGM and got renamed the Rosewood Grill.
The best meal I ever had was at the original place. I think I ate the lobster in the picture.

Wow this brought back some old memories. When I was growing up, my family flew America West for all our vacations. Since Vegas was one of their main hubs, we had dozens of layovers there over the years.

And I would always see that poster on the wall! Had to look it up when I saw this thread....just as I remember it!

My impression was always that the Lobster This Big place and the Steak This Thick place were owned by the same folks and were major tourist (and conventioneer) traps!

I ate at Rosewood Grills 3 times and enjoyed it every time. It was expensive but the lobster and steaks were very good.
