Once during a 3-day solo trip.

Had a good time but got really burnt out as I did almost twice as much gambling as normal.

All the time, but I wouldn't if I was the "average" Vegas visitor. If I was the casual, average visitor, I'd sure want to get out and see as much as I could. My trips, however, almost always include business. In my 25+ years of visiting Vegas, I've had the opportunity to visit and even stay most every where in town, but since my trips are usually under 3-days and do have me leaving the property for some meetings... I value the down-time immensely and concentrate it at one place. As most here know, I'm a loyal Hard Rock Hotel patron and unless I wanted to slum it up at Silver Sevens or Tuscany, there really isn't anywhere else to wander to over there anyways. I enjoy knowing many of the staff by name and am treated awfully well because of my loyalty. I often receive very nice upgrades and perks for being so loyal and that makes the short trip that much better.

No right or wrong answer, but for us a resounding NO. We've never even spent a single day inside the same property. There may have been a few (very few) days over the many years that we didn't get in the rental car, but never a whole day at the same property.

Sometimes. I've only done 3 night trips and usually stay in one place to max my comps. If I get bored, am going to a show or am on a bad streak I may wonder.

Last few times at Bellagio I've had spa appts (Costco sells $100 worth of Spa Finder GCs for $79.99) and go to the afternoon high tea so there isn't much time to roam. If I do, I take the tram to Aria or MC. The food at Bellagio is great at almost any venue and I always try for a upgrade to a suite (last June I paid $140/night for a cypress) so I spend time in my room enjoying the sights and fountains when I need a break. I have old arthritic knees so the strip walk can get painful. When solo I almost never leave but with others it is a bit easier and cheaper to pay for transport.

I stay center strip and consider anything within 1 mile to be all part of my "resort" in Vegas. Locally our casinos are so far apart that Vegas is a big beautiful resort with different buildings lol.

Our trips are for 6 nights at The Cal. Two of those days are usually spent not leaving The Cal/MSS. Eat, sleep and gamble there.

Did a solo trip to Wendover and stayed at the Peppermill, didn't go outside once in the 3 days I was there.

It happens for me when I got to conventions and you have meetings/meals/work/bars/etc. all in one big hotel.

After 48 hours of this I feel trapped. To me, it's just odd not to get out and see the sun in LV.

Haven't yet, but I take so many trips that I have thought about doing this just to see if I could do it...and if I did it would be the Mandalay Bay/MB Shoppes complex. There's so much to do, eat, drink in there I think that's the only place I could be content never getting out of the resort. Maybe next year in the summer to avoid the heat.

In Morocco (The Miramar in Essaouira) yes. In Vegas...no.

Have I, no, but it could be done if lets say early January and its brutally cold outside.
If staying at Caesars I could see it happening.
    Same with PH.
Or if staying at Paris and being able to bounce between Paris and Ballys.
Or if staying at Luxor, MB and Excalibur as these 3 are like one large casino.

All the time. There's been many a trip where we never leave the hotel, or at most walk next door for a drink. We lost the need to roam years ago.

I've come close but never totally locked into one property the whole time.

There have been a few when I've stayed at my normal home base of Palazzo when I've never made it farther south than the Harrah's/Caesars part of the strip.

Not sure if I could pull off a one property-the-whole-time trip.

In Vegas, I'm a nester, so my ideal stay is enter at checkin, don't leave the premises until checkout; I have done this quite a few times on shorter trips.
However my much better half is of the belief that natural sunlight, fresh air, and exercise is actually good for one's health especially in Vegas to clear the lungs. So there are daily walks morning and afternoon, dinner and/or shows at places away from where we are staying so there is often more walking, and some casino hopping with even more walking. Since he always shares his winnings with me, I have no choice but to tag along .

When I've not come down with the crud? No, never. No way. Terri did once. We were at the JW Marriott. Work was manic and she was toward the end of her MBA. We had a suite with a killer view. "Trips" for her that time were to the door to let room service in and to the spa. She freakin' deserved it!

I'm sure if we were in town for longer than 2 nights at a time, the urge to roam would be stronger. But on a 2 day trip, why bother? Heck, the only reason we go next door to Wynncore is to see our favorite CWs at Parasol Up/Down. (Tell Cathy we said "Hi.")

But I can see how the need to roam could hit some people. It did me in my younger days. Still does if I hit a cold streak at my home base.
