Just an FYI about offers I received for some recent play downtown. We stayed at the Cal over President's Day weekend on a 5 night offer with meal coupons for $140 (we're from Hawaii). Stayed in the renovated rooms but nothing to report that is different from other recent reports.

Played craps at the DTG on Sunday night $5 table. Only a couple of other players. Played approx. 40 minutes at $5 pass line, double odds, $27 across. Lost $40. Played 10 minutes of slots, $30-$40 cycled, $8 loss.
Received an offer 2 weeks ago for 1 free night and $5 Free play, $5 Food credit.

Played craps at the D Sunday night $5 table. Tables were packed and music was loud (place bets were vibrating from the bass and occasionally had to be restacked, lol)! Played basically the same spread with pressing on better rolls. Played 2 hours 40 minutes and lost $40. Did not play slots.
Received 2 snail mail offers today. 3 free nights in June and July including $40 free play and $25 food credit for each stay. Also several match play coupons on flyer ($60 total).
Also, offer for TIKI slot tournament, 3 nights comp and entry to tournament (6/19-21).

Played craps at the Plaza Sunday night. $5 table, table packed, lots of newbies and field only bettors. Actually a much better vibe than expected. Played same spread as mentioned. Music from lounge was good. Played for 2 hours 30 minutes. Lost $110.
No offers received. Not sure I'd stayed here as wifey doesn't care for it. Must admit, had more fun than expected and drink service at the table was great.

Anyways, just wanted to share some downtown info with everyone and also wanted to thank everyone for their contributions on this board. Great info and thank you Sonya for running this site! Good luck all!

The D offers have dried up for us. We have loved and stayed at Fitzgerald and the the D for the last 9 or 10 years. We play mostly 25 cent video poker, (3-4 plus hours of play there a day) mixed in with slots a little keno and a little roulette. We also played 10 cent video poker until pay lines became un playable at 6-5 or 7-5 (2-3 hours a day). We would take 2 trips most years.

We always got rooms comped any time we called also our host offered us a limo ride when the D took over, to and from the airport, 2 trips ago they said we no longer could get the limo , no big deal.

We tried to book for a June trip over a weekend, we were told we could only get casino rate??? So I called and ask to talk to on duty host (our host Larry retired, he was great). I explained our history with Fitz / D. Ask him why offers seemed to be drying up. I was told some games get more points that others. We play mostly the 8-5 bonus 3 way prog. at the Vue Bar. Found out that earns us much less than other games. Other than not playing the 10 cent cent VP our play has not changed there.

Has any one else had this problem? It is a shame we love the D. But I will never pay for a room in Vegas.

I played $10-20 a hand blackjack at the D quite a bit over the course of a 4 day trip. I asked for breakfast on the last day and was told no. I don't know if my play wasn't tracked properly or what? Pit boss looked confused that I even asked. I just assumed they didn't comp at all for that level. Drink service was outstanding though. I didn't have any problem getting shots of Patron.

I play the 2 8-5 bonus progressives (Vue and by keno/sports book) upstairs at the D almost exclusively and get 4 free nights a month plus free play, not sure why they are shafting you...

I'll be checking out DTG Memorial Day weekend and curious to see what offers I get from a little slots and mainly vp. I'll post an update when I get my offers. I'll keep track of what denomination I play out of curiosity.
