    My Trip Report

I'll start by saying the only casinos we've ever visited were in Vegas (except for a cruise).

Last year MGM started offering charter flights to Biloxi from a local airport. We don't play much at the MGM properties in Vegas so the charge would be $750 total to cover both of us for airfare, ground transportation, and 3 nights at the Beau Rivage. We also got $40 each Free Play. Many of the people we met on the flight got the trip comped.

The local airport is only 20 minutes from our house, they requested we be there 90 minutes prior to the flight. We got there, checked our luggage, headed to TSA. This took a while since the guy working the metal detector was also checking ID's and the passenger log. They had us sit nearby and called us up in groups to keep from having to stand in a long line.

Plane loaded and was about 80 percent full so we had room to spread out a bit. The flight was only 55 minutes. To get to Vegas is a four hour flight out of Atlanta. We land in Gulf Port and follow the other passengers to the shuttle buses. The buses were waiting nearby for us, maybe a 5 minute walk from the plane through the airport. One had already filled and departed, we got on the second bus and waited 5 minutes for it to fill and depart. The ride to the casino was on a highway (maybe Interstate 10) and kinda scenic, lots of water. Check in took about 15-20 minutes. They had two lines and the computer locked-up for our line. It gave a chance to bitch a little and meet the folks near us in line. Got our key and took a look at the room, very nice, lots of space, and a view of the Gulf.

Had to free buffets via MyVegas so we had dinner then gambled a bit. We started at the Breeze Bar but service was terrible. Moved over to some JoB 9/5 10-play machines on the floor near the steak house. Drink service was better with the CW.

Next day, had breakfast at a Starbucks-like shop. Croissant with ham, egg, and cheese was $5.75 and tasted good.

Took Uber to the IP. The driver offered a Biloxi tour so we took him up on it. We had never been to Biloxi so it was nice to see and hear about it. He drove us past http://www.visitbeauvoir.org/ the Jefferson Davis home and library. We made it to the IP.

We headed to the kiosk to swipe my card. Surprise! I get a free buffet since it's my birthday month. We gambled a bit at the Insomnia Bar the headed to the buffet. Buffet was very good with plenty of choices, my favorite was the Chinese Crispy Chicken wings.

Hit the kiosk again. Kim's card shows the monthly $150 spa credit and weekly $50 food credit. Many thanks to @flysrb for the education about the credits. I got a $20 food credit (I'm Sapphire).

I played some more at the bar while Kim did her 3pm manni/peddi which took two hours. I wished I had a room at the IP for a nap. I was still playing at the bar when the 4pm bartender started his shift. Between 4pm and when Kim rejoined me at 5pm I didn't have any drinks. Shortly after Kim got there we started drinking. After having 3 in about 25 minutes, and tipping a 5$ bill each round, he cut us off, said we had to wait a few minutes. I didn't even have a good buzz, had not been drinking before this. "Dude I played for over an hour and didn't drink anything!' He replied, "Good point" and brought us another round. We left for 6pm reservation at 32.

Steakhouse 32, naturally on the 32nd floor, had a nice view looking towards the Beau Rivage and the Gulf. Service and food were good, I would go again. We had $70 in credits and paid the balance with points. The points go further in Biloxi than Vegas but the take more VP to earn. Food is 50% off when paying with points but it took $5 of coin-in to get 3 points.

After dinner we headed back to BR. The drink service was great with the CW. After playing an hour or so Kim hit a Royal Flush, only her second RF with the first being in 2014. IMG_20170413_213032081.jpg

We played a bit more then headed to bed. During the night the fire alarm went off but was canceled before I got out of bed.

Next morning we hit the coffee shop again and resumed VP.

Not long till Kim hit again.

    IMG_20170414_121020600.jpg

We continued playing and soon she was dealt a Flush on her 10-play machine. But, it was four to a royal, she held the four and hit Draw.

    IMG_20170414_122604008.jpg

We saw the first one hit, started high-fiving and out of the corner of my eye I saw two more. We were celebrating enough to get the attention of some employees. Just to add some notes, she was playing on my card, the attendant simply asked for hers. It was a hand-pay and came with a W2. They took out $90 for MS state tax.

Kim now has 6 Royals to my 4 but I'm happy for her.

The BR has a scratch card promotion going. You gamble, check the kiosk for cards, get them from the players club. Worked out nice I think we ended up with 25-30 cards. We got 50/10/10 in food credits, around 70 in free play, a baseball cap, a coffer cup, and a stainless-steel thermos. The downside was standing in line to get them, then you had to get in line again after you scratched them.

In addition to the coffee stand and buffet, we ate at the Italian restaurant, seafood joint, and the Terrace café. Enjoyed them all.

I'm looking forward to going again. The trip is so easy! Airport is close to our house, 55 minute flight, they put the luggage your room from the plane, and provide transportation.

VPfree2 showed some JoB machines with Atomic Fever at the Beau, I looked many times but never found them.

    Great report, Ty!

Sounds like you had an awesome time. Congrats to Kim, too, on the Royals!
LOL...I pictured you both standing in a pile of scratch card dust! :D

Thanks for putting this TR together!

Can't image that royals showed up that much. Probably just the odds catching up for a lucky person.
    Glad you enjoyed it.
    Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the report. I got an offer to fly from my local airport for $299 per person for 4 nights with ground transport and $40 in freeplay. I'm going 5/29. I've never been to Biloxi before, and am very much excited for the upcoming trip. We even upgraded to first class!!! WOO HOO.

Good report TY...we fly out of middle Ga. to the Beau a few times a year and enjoy the short flight... congrats to your wife on the Royals at the Beau...who knows we might be on the same flight one day, would be great to hear your thoughts on the B Connected program. I'm thinking about giving them some more of my play in Vegas in the future.

Enjoyed your report. Thanks for sharing it. Seems a little similar to our trip a month or so ago when we did two nights at Beau Rivage and two at IP. Congratulations on those three Royals in one trip. That seems like it should be a record, My GF (Sweet Baboo) hit her very first Royal at the Breeze Bar on that trip a month ago. I'm glad you went to 32. I love the staff up there. That is where we got engaged in the summer of 2016 and they did everything they could to make it memorable.

IMO, if Biloxi is significantly closer to you than Vegas, it's worth a look. As I said in the TR, it was so easy get to there from our local airport, and so much quicker. Currently this charter flight is the only passenger flight from our local airport.

Now I'm waiting for my next email offer to see if it got any cheaper. Folks on the plane had already booked a 4-night trip for June 29.

Great report! Congrats on the Royals, that's awesome. We were in Biloxi in March for spring break and had a great time, with me hitting a $2000 Royal!

Great report. Headed to the Beau on the 19th of May on a 3 night comped trip.

I'm sure you will start getting the free charter now that you have been with them once.

I've had free chartered flights from several airports, or take the 6 hour drive from NW Atlanta. My flight offers come from Macon, Chattanooga, Huntsville and Augusta. I've also paid to fly out Atlanta if price is right.

Needless to say, I really enjoy the Beau and some of the other casinos on the gulf coast.

Sorry to hear about your troubles at the Breeze Bar. I haven't had that experience before, actually just the opposite. That is, when I can find a seat in the late afternoon. The nice Bloody Mary they make is the way I wake up each morning. This, of course, is after the trip to the Roasted Bean for a coffee the minute they open.

Now to just get a few of those royals they seem to be throwing out. :)

Thanks for the very interesting TR. Wow, 5 royals in one trip! The Beau is our "local' so to speak even if it is a junket flight away or 8 hour drive. We know the Breeze Bar folks by first names as we start our days with coffee and Baileys there every trip. You will likely get the free chartered flight soon in the future after they review your wins. Free is $40 fee but you still get the free play.

We will be there for 3 comped nights starting 25 June.

Nice trip! The BR is one on my favorite places to go and usually the Breeze Bar service is top notch. Did you happen to check out or play in the (somewhat) new smoke free slot area towards the back LH corner of the casino? Just wondering what kind of VP they have in there.

We were near, but not in, the smoke-free. I was going off the info from VPfree2 and played the machines near the steak house.

Nice TR, and congrats on the wins. I love the BR. I love Biloxi to be honest. It's an hour flight from here (Tampa) and well worth it imo.
