Had a trip planned for May 4-7 to get away (and it's derby weekend) at Mirage.. then got an offer for free John Mayer tix and nights (My GF loves him) so we are making an extra trip next weekend and keeping our May 4-7 trip

Next weekend we'll stay at Mirage so I'm changing up hotel for may trip... I now have offers for Bellagio and Aria which I've never stayed at either property.. so I ask, which would you stay at?

Few facts: We're late 20s/early 30s , not crazy club people but do enjoy bars drinking socializing etc... will do one "NICE" dinner and the others we are more along the higher end casual meals (think Holstein's @ Cosmo) ... will spend at least one morning/afternoon at the pool.. I'm the gambler will be doing some BJ, Craps, slots

Ok so what does everyone think?

Both are excellent options, but I prefer Aria. based on your criteria, I think you would like it. Lots of dining options, spanning the range on price. There are more bar options at Aria. The pools are about even, unless you have a skysuite and get access to the sky pool. The two hotels essentially have the same table game options, but Aria's casino doesn't feel as cramped or crowded at night. Plus, the aria rooms are more modern and better

Though I much prefer Bellagio, for your age I would go with Aria.

Can not go wrong with either one.

Early 40s here and we switched from Belllagio to Aria about 4 years ago and are very pleased. I'm pretty exclusively a dice player and really like their tables and crews. I like Aria's gaming floor more than Bellagio's, it feels more alive even if it is smaller and less crowded. You can get just about any dining experience you want, both in terms of variety of food and price point. I can't recommend Carbone highly enough. Aria's pool complex is smaller, but I have never had a problem getting loungers, maybe not front row but certainly in the sun or shade whichever I preferred at the time. I think there is no comparison in the standard rooms, Aria hands down.

Both properties are great, but I think you'd be happier at Aria.

Having stayed at Bellagio, and staying at Aria for the first time this weekend, I will be better equipped to make a recommendation after the weekend, but at this time, just based on your ages, I'd say Aria.

I have stayed at both casinos a number of times and enjoy them a lot. IMO, Aria might be more for you because of your age. The bars are packed with young people in their 20s and 30s at night. Other than that they both shine as resorts with great restaurants, although pricy, very nice pool areas, attractive casinos... The Bellagio's location is better for walking to places like Caesars Palace, Bally's...

Both are great places, but based on your criteria, Aria would be a good fit.
Check out Javier's menu for good food at reasonable price and also 550 pizza for a nice slice.
Lucky you to have two trips so close together! Yay!

I stayed at Bellagio 10-15 tears ago courtesy of WagerWorks (predecessor of MyVegas). Great property obviously, but felt a little uncomfortable there. Too nice if that makes any sense :p
Go with Aria given your age. If anything, even nicer rooms than Bellagio judging from their website.

Aria is really great, I used to stay at Bellagio but that has changed a lot- so I would say give Aria a shot!

I would pick Aria. We really enjoyed our stay last year and I really like their gaming floor.

Bellagio all the way. Aria is lame, restaurants are average.

    Puzzled by the above quote.
Both hotels are excellent but I prefer Aria for a number of reasons.
1.Better casino staff including dealers and PB
2.Standard rooms are a little bigger and up to date.
3.Most comfortable beds in Las Vegas
4.Way less gawking crowds clogging the main aisles and lobby!!!!!
5.Aria is widely known as having one of the best restaurant lineups in Las Vegas.
Even if it did not,the walk into Bellagio through VDara is very short.
I usually dine at Bellagio and sometimes Cosmo on every trip while staying atAria.Don't make a decision based on restaurants.

Aria has no panache. Feels like a cold, dark warehouse. Had dinner at Carbone, average at best.

Another vote for Aria! Going to be there in mid-May for my birthday and really like it. As others have commented, you don't have the crowds which Bellagio does but still lively. A nice selection of restaurants and bars to appeal to any mood you are in, a great pool/spa/fitness center setup. When gambling, I have always found their drink service to be above average as well. While both are good properties, I recommend Aria.

We are in your same age group and really love both properties. Aria if we are going to have a more fast paced trip, Bellagio for a more relaxing time.
Headed there tomorrow and will be at Bellagio, however we will venture over to Aria at some point for drinks. Food choices are better for us at Bellagio, although Aria has a few good places that we like. I do agree with a poster above, if you are looking to stay in a regular room, Aria has Bellagio beat hands down. Pool at Bellagio seems to be the more laid back on the strip, IMO. Really just depends on what you are looking for, relaxation or more upbeat.

Aria all the way... however, being one of the hottest hotel currently their BJ action can be expensive I believe on weekends can be mostly $25 or higher; as I recall. Also, bj pays 6/5. I'm sure other members may give you latest actions on Aria. Good luck!

We've stayed at both and personally prefer Aria for the rooms. Great bathroom, great bedroom, huge windows, great service. Also love the push button "do not disturb" sign....no door hanger for someone to "borrow" ;)

I really like darker wood for furniture, so both score on that.

Bellagio is great too though, either is a winner.

I DO find the slots a little looser at Bellagio. (Go figure!)

I like Aria, wife likes Bellagio. I think food choices are better at Aria. Try Lemongrass and Bardots. Both are great.

Stayed many nights in both propertes.,, As a few others have said, I would probably vote Aria for your demographic. You will find the pool area, and casino bars in Aria a little more lively and the restaurants are great in both properties. As well, the rooms in Aria are just a little more modern and sleek. If you have the oppertunity to upgrade to a sky suite at Aria, you would love it.
