Checked my MLIFE page and actually had some decent offers but was most intrigued that I could get a comped night at Bellagio with some resort credit and free play. Was thinking about double booking for that one night just for the experience. Seems like the largest and highest end room available is something called a Tower Fountain View room. Square footage is a bit larger than the other options and obviously it has a fountain view. Can anyone tell me anything more about this room category?

THIS RESPONSE MAY BE WRONG. SEE MY NEW POST #7

Tower refers to the Spa Tower. Still has a view, but nothing like those rooms in the main building.

Sits behind the parking garage in this view/map

Yeah, its not a very good fountain view form there. But the rooms in that tower, generally, are very nice

The Spa Tower sits back near the convention facilities and the escalator to the walkway to VDara.
It is a longer walk from these rooms to anywhere in the casino.
The worst part is you have to negotiate the crowds around the lobby and conservatory except Harvest restaurant.

Agree with Nittany 1. 3 years ago my husband surprised me with a lakeside suite, but of course when we checked in there were nine available so they put us in the spa tower. For our inconvenience they knocked $75/night off. Checked their website and the going rate for that tower was $75 less, so they were not doing us any favors. That same year in November I reserved a spa tower room view and we were at the end of the hall closet to the Jockey Club, to see the fountains you had to stand in the front corner of the window to remotely see anything. I called the front desk and they moved us to a room with a better view the next day.

The room description specifically states the room is in the Bellagio tower, so unless that is the new name of the Spa tower, I don't think we are talking about the same thing.

Well... let me change my response. I do not remember them using "Bellagio Tower" in their descriptions in the past. It is very hard to find room descriptions now at the main Bellagio Hotel page. Only way to get more detail is to go through the reservations side.

I do see where it says BELLAGIO TOWER - so I would assume they mean the main tower and not the Spa Tower. I would screen print that room reservation.

I went ahead and booked it for the one night as I doubt my play with Mlife will ever get me a better option at one of their better resorts. For the $44 resort fee, I get to cross Bellagio off my bucket list. Will report back on the room next month.

I stayed at B back in 2012. I had a Spa Tower room for the majority of the week. My employer comped it for me since I was attending a conference for work. On the bill when I checked out it said Spa Tower. I stayed an extra night and switched to the main tower with fountain view and I think it said Bellagio Tower. My memory could be muddy on latter but the Spa Tower is definetely called Spa Tower. I'm not sure how to request Spa Tower when booking online though.

I've always booked the regular resort rooms and have been in the main building so I'm thinking anything that says Tower is the Spa Tower although they seem to cost more than the resort rooms (maybe just because they are larger).

Yes, Spa Tower rooms are definitely larger. I was disappointed once I found out I was in Spa Tower, but got to the room and was impressed. When I switched to main tower I was taken back by the size difference.

The Bellagio Tower is the main tower.
They must have recently started referring to it that way.
I called reservations to book a stay for a couple employees and asked the agent on the phone.

Thanks for checking on that. Best I can tell, the room I booked is a Resort Tower King, which is a slightly larger room category that can be in either tower. Larger because it is at the end of the hallway. For that reason, it has 3 windows, including one in the bathroom. If it is in the main (Bellagio) tower and has a fountain view, it should be a pretty decent one.

Does anyone know the difference between fountain view and strip view for the Bellaglio. On the mlife website you have both options for a strip view room and a fountain view room but I would have thought you have to have both views of strip and fountains if you were to have one?

Strip vs Fountain view - based on this picture - not sure how that can be.

Maybe some of the lower level rooms can not see the fountains/lake but can see the strip?

Here is a STREET VIEW that shows that possibility.

When we stayed at Bellagio (sometime in 2012-2013), the rooms located on the north end of the hallways in the main tower overlooking the fountains were Salone Suites. The Salone Suite has a larger living area with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the fountains and the bathroom window overlooked the Caesars Augustus tower. We have only stayed in Salone Suites located on high floors (26 and above) on the north end of Bellagio. Perhaps there is a different configuration for the south end of the hallways or the lower floors?

Those are different rooms than Resort King Rooms. As mentioned, they do call them suites...even though they are larger rooms.

Don't know if this is completely correct but we stayed one time in a "fountain view" room (it was on a lower floor) and some of the fountain show was obstructed by the building. I think the restaurants in front and the old Fontana bar (Hyde now). That tells how long ago it was LOL. The second time we stayed in a "Premium fountain view" room and it was on a higher floor near the middle of the hotel. BEAUTIFUL view. Don't know if the first room is now "strip view" and second room would now be called "Fountain view". If the better view is important I would call reservation desk so you make sure you are getting what you want

Website says that the strip view rooms are in the spa tower. I wonder what they call the rooms in the spa tower looking out at the escalator to the tram?

The Tower Fountain View room was at the end of the hallway but definitely in main Bellagio tower. Very comfortable bed, jetted tub with a view of Cosmo, and a good fountain view from the main living space. Was only on the 7th floor so was not perfect but, if it had another few floors up, it would have been. Recommended.
