That would seem to defeat the purpose of enjoying the extra "free" rewards. I can't find even three rewards that I want to get.
To each his own, I guess, but travel midweek and can get two nights, and all the free B/L/D buffets that I want/need. And best of all, there is NO play obligation. This weekend I'm staying at Aria for two nights I also have received about $1800 in mLife HGS points per year for the last three years, but then again, my budget allows me to spend a lot of money on chips.
For the past three years, myVegas offered HGS points as a purchase item. These become available in early to mid-November each year. The first year, 3 years ago, it was limited to members with a host. Each of the past two years, it was open to members who had purchased a certain amount of chips, similar to the higher end prizes that are offered now. The second year, it was 3,000,000 LPs for 500,000 HGS points at the Bellagio event, no stay required Last year it was again 3,000,000 LPs for 500,000 HGS points at the Bellagio event, but required a two night stay at the Bellagio. I believe that the comp stay at Bellagio cost me 300-400k additional points. They also offered a lower amounts, 600,000 LPs for 100,000 HGS points and 1.5M for 250,000 HGS points but you couldn't take more than one prize. This year, I'm sitting at 5M LPs, and think I'm set.
Wow, I had no idea this was happening. So have you spent $1800 on chips for My Vegas, or are you saying that the value of the HGS points you've redeemed from My Vegas has been worth $1800 in merchandise from the HGS? Also, how much would someone have to spend on chips in order to have the option to purchase HGS points with their LPs? TIA.
The value of the HGS points was actually $1667.66, I hah about $150 In HGS points. HGS points are worth about 30K = $100. I'm not really sure how much I have spent with myVegas over the years, so I can't really quantify whether it was "worth it" or not. I am still holding $700 (some form 2015 HGS) in mLife gift cards which I plan to start using this weekend for meals . . . I cannot really quantify how much you'd need to spend to be eligible to purchase HGS points with LPs. Perhaps someone else at a lower level can recall if they saw the promotion last year.
HGS is Holliday Gift Shoppe points that MLife does annually usually the first week of December. It's their annual gift giveaway using the points a player has accumulated from slot play throughout the year redeemed for gifts/merchandise.
It is mLife's equivalent of: CETs - Great Gift Wrap Up (GGWU), and Venetian/Palazzo's - Grazie Gift Extravaganza (Held the week of Thanksgiving)
I think you are giving people wrong information, believing they can get the 6th reward spending $300. I have been playing the game since almost the beginning and have seen people been proven wrong by Play Studios saying they haven't spent money or spent way less than what everyone else is saying it takes to get it. It was more than likely in error you got it. Why would they give you 6 rewards and spend WAY less then everyone else has to get it?
Hang on — I was just saying what happened with me. I didn't take into account your viewpoint and now I absolutely understand what you mean. I was just pointing out our situation and did not mean for it to come off like I was steering anyone into buying anything. I don't know if it was a glitch or an error or what, but here's a screenshot. If it's in error I guess I'll count my blessings.
I know this info is a few years old, but all along, Playstudios has said that additional rewards wasn't dependent on money spent on the game alone. Sadly, they would never elaborate on what other criteria the game looks at either. I don't know for certain, but I would say this is correct for 95% of players.
When did you first get your 6 rewards? If it was recently than I would think it was a glitch as well. I have seen several reports from people who say they have 6 rewards and only spent a few hundred. It turned out in those cases that they made their purchases years ago when the game first started. I'm sure it was easier to get them back then. However, for anyone trying to get the extra rewards now that won't be the case.
