I'm kinda a light sleeper, especially when there is a strong bass beat. We have stayed at Harrahs and the Linq with music keeping me awake. The Linq, I think, was coming from the actual Linq promenade. Harrahs was coming from the Carnival Court. Have you ever stayed at Paris and experienced what I'm talking about? If so, on which side or tower was your room? TIA!

My first stay at Paris we had the premium fountain view - dead center, facing the Bellagio, over the pool. The music from the nightclub startled me out of bed, It was really bad right on the hour starting at midnight thru 3:00 AM. We could feel the bass vibrating the floor. I love staying there but have always requested a room on the back side since.

    Have a great time

We were in the wing facing Bally's in March. I don't remember any noise issues.

If there is a concert at Cosmo out at the pool, you will never sleep.
The loud music and earth pounding bass will shake your room, bed, windows, even you!!
This was my experience there about 5 years ago in a high floor room looking at Bellagio fountains at Paris.

Stayed there one other time and didn't experience the same issue. YMMV

Huh. I just had the same room choice in March when I was there and couldn't hear a thing. I was on the 22nd floor, Burgundy Strip View so maybe I was high enough not to notice, but I even had the window vents open most of my stay and didn't hear a peep.

That was in March. The pool wasn't open yet, right?

It had JUST opened but the weather wasn't great so there wasn't much action down there. No DJ's at the pool while I was there, but honestly that shouldn't affect anything noise-wise anyway since pool DJ's are what, 11a-6p or something? Unless you're a day sleeper. I noticed zippo noise from any clubs at night.

I stayed there in November in a room looking over the Paris pool and didn't have any noise issues that I noticed.

I have encountered it in the summer - also the south facing Jubilee rooms at Ballys. At Paris I'm better off with a rear or south view noise wise

Just ask for something away from the Chateau night club. The higher the better. It's too bad that so many rooms now have that noise problem. We usually ask for toward the end of the hall facing the pool. But, anything high on the north wing toward the end of the hall should be ok.

I recently posted a similar thread and thought anything on the North gets the Dr Dria from the Cromwell.

You don't want to face the strip if you are there any day the nightclub is open.

The only issue I had was a band playing at the Cosmo pool. I think it was a Saturday night in August. Make sure to check if any bands/DJs are playing at Cosmo when you travel out.

Might stay at Paris next trip in Sept for the fight but my wife and I are very light sleepers so it seems I should ask for a room on the back side which would be what?

Avoid the Eiffel Tower view rooms. They're a separate, pricier class of room, anyway, so they're easy to avoid. Just don't let them give you a free upgrade to Eiffel Tower-view when you check in.

P.S. It's Paris' Chateau nightclub and outdoor bar that really raises the roof, and it's only open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Wife and I enjoyed a five-night weekday stay and wore earplugs on the Wednesday. Noise wasn't a problem with Eiffel Tower view room on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

I get comped so I can have anything except a suite to choose from.

    That's great—they'll find you a quiet room I'm sure!

The noise can be an issue at Paris, but I never had this problem. Always been 26th or above facing the strip/fountains. My last stay at Ballys in Jubilee facing Paris, could definitely here the bass from Chateau. It was not enough to bother me, YMMV. You should take the valley/mountain view being a light sleeper. Enjoy your trip.
